It was true, though. There was no definite moment of when you can start loving someone and when you could stop. It was irrelevant how long ago I fell in love with him.
“What about you?” I gulped and decided to stop talking about myself.
“Oh. About Niall! Yeah it was so romantic. We talked about where I grew up and the usual. He told me I was beautiful! It was like I had always imagined, but way better!” She laughed.
“Really? That’s sounds amazing!” I smiled at her. I noticed her blushing just thinking about him.
“You were different, tonight. You were yourself, but I saw a side of you that was special. I just didn’t know that side of you ever existed.” I added.
She looked up at me and walked over to me. “I guess I didn’t realize that side existed, either. When I was with him, I felt like I had everything that I could possibly want in this whole world. It was a dream come true.”
Just then, Ashley came out of the bathroom and both of us stopped talking. I hugged Leah and made my way to the bathroom to get ready for bed.
I closed the bathroom door softly and locked it. I turned around to face my reflection. I gripped the sides of the sink with both of my arms and sighed. I quickly took out my phone and unlocked it. I had to thank Liam properly for the date. I said:

Hey, Liam. Just wanted to text you and thank you properly for the lovely dessert we had. It was perfect! Thanks… Hope to see you again? ;)

I pressed send and waited for a response. I waited a few minutes and looked back to find no reply. Maybe he was busy? I finally put my hair up in a ponytail and brushed my teeth to get ready for bed. After I left the bathroom, I looked at my phone again to find that he still hadn’t replied. I needed calm down; the man is one of the most famous band members in the whole world.
I quietly slipped into bed and under the covers. I was joined by Leah a few minutes later.
“Goodnight, Casey…” Leah whispered to me.
“Goodnight, Leah.” I whispered back to her. I didn’t go to sleep, though. It wasn’t long till I heard my phone vibrate on the dresser where I had kept it. I reached for it as I started to hear the soft snores of Ashley on the other bed. I looked at the message, it read:

No problem, love. Couldn’t stop thinking abt u… I know we met already but I have something to show you… Come with me please? I know it’s breaking the rules but it’ll be worth it? ;)

I smiled as the light from my phone illuminated my face. He couldn’t stop thinking about me? That is so sweet! Where could he possibly want to take me? I honestly was torn whether I should or shouldn’t go. I would be way over my head if I tried to sneak out of the hotel and out into the city. Ms. Fleur would surely find out. I replied:

Umm… Late in the night? Where would we go? Idk if I could…

I looked over at Leah; tiny snores escaped her mouth as she pushed her pillow into place. Liam’s reply came within a few seconds this time. It said:

Well, I was hoping it would be a surprise. But, I don’t want you to worry so I’ll just tell you. It’s a fountain a few minutes into Paris.
I tapped Leah gently, seeing whether she’d wake up. I felt bad about waking her up but I didn’t know what else to do. I knew that if she were in my position she would do the same.
“Mmmm…. Niall. Stop…” She giggled in her sleep.
I looked at her curiously. “Leah, wake up. It’s me, Casey. “ I tried again.
“Mmm… Niall, they’ll hear us-“ She finally stirred awake.
“Were you dreaming about Niall?” I grinned.
“No!” She half whispered, half shouted.
“Shhh!” I motioned to Ashley who was still asleep.
“What happened?” She groaned as she rubbed her eyes.
“Look.” I passed her my phone. She reluctantly grabbed it and scrolled down the conversation that Liam and I had. Her face lit up as soon as she finished.
“Now?” She whispered.
I nodded eagerly. “I don’t think that I can. If I get caught then I-”
“What the hell are you talking about? I say go for it. This is Paris, a city of possibilities but most importantly, the city of love!” She interrupted. “I say to hell with Ms. Fleur and her stupid rules. Do something for you, Casey. You give and give but you never get. We’re only staying here for a week so make the most of it before we have to leave and go back to our pathetic lives.” She sleepily ranted.
“I guess your right…” I agreed.
“Guess? Girl, please. I AM right!” She started to raise her voice. I quickly motioned her to keep her voice low. “Oh, sorry, right!” She looked down.
“Yeah, you know what? You’re right. I should text him” I grabbed my phone and texted him back saying:

Okay. I am in! How will I know where to meet you? You haven’t told me the exact place?

I looked back at the time and saw it was 11:50 pm as of now. I felt my phone vibrate again. I unlocked it and read the message. It said:

Well just leave that to me, love. Can’t wait Xx :)

I chuckled, not knowing how I was going to get there. “I guess I have to stay put,” I thought to myself. I looked back over at Leah who was slowly falling back asleep. She tried her best to keep her eyes open but she was tired. She finally sat up straight, stood up, and paced around the room quietly so she wouldn’t wake up Ashley.
“You don’t have to stay awake.” I told her as I got up and pulled on some jeans and a jacket.
“No, it’s fine. I just want to make sure you don’t get caught and that Ms. Fleur doesn’t randomly show up.” She smiled. I just hugged her and thanked her quietly.
At 12:15 there was a quite loud knocking on the door. I stood straight up and looked over at Ashley who was starting to move and possibly, wake up.
“Holy crap?! Doesn’t your boyfriend know that we’re on high alert here?” She whispered to me. I gave her a “WTF” look and quickly ran to the door and opened it before Liam could knock again. I swung it open to find him with a bouquet of red roses in his hand.
“Surprise!” He said.
“Shhh!” I motioned to Ashley who was, thankfully, still asleep. “She could have told Ms. Fleur everything.” I chuckled.
“Oh! I see… Sorry!” His voice was now in a whisper.
“It’s fine,” I smiled. “So should we go?”
His lips curled into a smile as he said, “Let’s go, babe.”
