The Paris Trip

Chapter 11

“Liam, you shouldn’t be here.” I huffed as I quickly motioned for Ashley and Leah to close the door. “If Madame Fleur finds out that you’re here, then-“
“Just tell me what’s wrong.” He interrupted, his ash brown hair was matted and stuck out in many places as he wore a worried expression on his face, his eyes pleading me to give him an explanation.
I paused for a moment, debating what I should do.
“Leah, Ashley, could you please give us a moment?” I sighed as they nodded and quickly scurried out into the hallway of the hotel. As soon as the door shut behind them, Liam advanced towards me, his arms open.
“Just stay where you are.” I tried to stop him.
“Please, what’s wrong? Are you okay?” His chocolate brown eyes searched mine. He ignored my demand and came closer, lifting my chin in his palm and positioning it towards his face.
“What is this?” I grabbed my phone and opened the magazine article online. He looked at me questioningly before taking my phone and squinting at the small text. His eyes became wider as he read further along in the article.
“Oh my god, Casey, I-“ He rubbed his hand over his face and slowly sat down on the bed.
“She’s your girlfriend, isn’t she? You have a girlfriend. All this time, you were dating her and fooling me, is that how it worked?” My eyes began to sting with tears.
“No, Casey. Please, just let me explain. It’s not how it looks.” He looked at me and stood up, trying to stop me from backing away from him.
“No! You lied to me! You made me a fool. I thought that some big star wanted me, and I was wrong. I knew it was too good to be true because he has a girlfriend and just plays games with other girls.” I shook my head, refusing to face him.
“No, please.” I could hear his voice break.
“Why? I trusted you. I told you I loved you. Why?!” I cried harder. There was a dead silence in the room as I waited for a response, but nothing came. Liam must have been lost in thought but I quickly repeated, “WHY?!” more enraged than ever. He looked startled as he realized that he didn’t answer.
“She’s not my girlfriend, per say. She’s for press. Management made me date her just so it helps my image, according to them.” He finally said as he looked down at his feet, still holding the sides of my arms. “Management wanted me to pretend date her. I don’t like her very much because she’s uptight and high strung. She’s very possessive and actually likes to think we’re dating. I think she must like me, but I promise you that I don’t like her. I feel nothing towards her.” He looked at me, trying to survey my reaction.
“But, she’s here, in Paris?” I whispered, still trying to comprehend what Liam had just said.
“Yes, she’s here. But I promise you; I haven’t talked to her at all since we met up for dinner after you left. I’ve never once kissed her or touched her after I told you how I felt and when I found out that you loved me back.” He gave a half-smile, letting the signature dimples to form deeper into the sides of his mouth.
“That’s a relief, I suppose.” I looked into his eyes.
“Also, I would never play games with you. I love you so much; you’re the first girl that I actually feel something with. When you never texted me back, I got worried that maybe something happened and you changed your mind about us. Maybe I thought that you hated me for some reason. I can’t live knowing that you’re walking around, hating me, so please, tell me you understand. I’m sorry that I had to hide this from you because I shouldn’t have. But I need to know that I have you.” His hands found their way to the base of my neck and his eyes trailed down to my lips as he spoke the last bit.
“You have me.” I closed my eyes and exhaled as he positioned my chin upwards. My hands flew up to his neck and wrapped around the back as he hoisted my up for our lips to meet. The soft, sweet contact caused me to lean into him, deepening the kiss even more. Our lips overlapped slowly as our breathing relaxed and we leant backwards, pushing me against the bathroom door.
“Hey, by the way,” I continued as we pulled back from the kiss momentarily, “I could never hate you.” I said seriously, looking into his beautiful brown eyes as he smiled goofily and picked me up again, pushing me back into the bathroom door and rekindling our kiss.

Notes

Hey guys! So I know this chapter was pretty short but that's because I felt it was necessary to not cram all of the events into this one chapter. I think the next one will definitely be longer! Thanks and I hope you liked!
