Don't wanna be without you

"So I have something to ask you Sophie"

We were about half way through our night and we had just finished our main course of the meal. We both shared a large 'meat feast' pizza which was both our favourite topping on a pizza. I had a starter of a sea food dish whilst Harry had a few pieces of garlic bread.

"Go ahead" I replied, quite curious to hear what he has to say.

"We are going to be announcing a new tour soon which will probably start in January next year and I was wondering if you wanted to come with us. We are going to ask the other girls too so you won't be the only girl, don't worry love" he joked.

"I sat opposite Harry. I was gobsmacked, shocked and speechless. I sat there quietly for a few seconds with my jaw slightly lowered until Harry broke the silence.

"What do you say Soph?"

"Yes" I shouted a bit too loud.

I lifted my body up to give Harry a tight squeeze in celebration. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world.

"I love you Harry"

"I love you too baby girl" he whispered in my ear before he carefully picked me up and spin me around.

We let go of each other and as we sat down, the waiter came with the dessert menu.

"We have our best dessert menu especially for you tonight, so choose wisely" The waiter revealed as he handed us a menu each.

"Do you want dessert babe?" I asked because I was personally absolutely stuffed from the previous food.

"Not really, I'm full up" Harry whispered back.

I grabbed my purse and began to dig my hand into it to look for my money.

"Sophie, what the hell are you doing?"

"Getting out my money to pay"

"I've already payed love" Harry said as he pointed to a the money he had already placed on the table, making me look up to it.

"Let me pay Haz, you've already done enough for me"

"Don't be silly Sophie. Come on, let's get going"

I rolled my bright blue eyes as Harry took my hand in his to lead me to the vehicle that would take us home.



We arrived home just before I had invited Harry to stay the night. Mum was home and Harry and not yet met her and I did warn him that she would be home.

I took a key with me so I could let myself into my house without having to knock and then wait for ages for mum to answer the door.

"Hey mum" I shouted as Harry and I walked into the house.

"Hello sweetie, who's this fella?" She joked as she strolled up to me to give me a welcoming hug.

"This is Harry, my boyfriend"

"Oh, so you're the one who Sophie keeps talking about"

I was a little embarrassed by this because I didn't want Harry to think I was some over attached physco girlfriend although Louis, Zayn, Liam and Niall all tell me that he talks about me all the time too so I really have nothing to worry about.

"Been somewhere nice?" Mum excitedly asked.

"Harry took me out to this lovely fancy restaurant for a meal but we didn't have dessert because we were stuffed and I still am to be honest" I calmly replied.

"How... Nice" Mum mumbled.

I knew that she was still upset about dad leaving us out of the blue and I still am too, but I didn't want to say anything in front of Harry because this was between me and my mum, no one else.

As I followed Harry up to my room, I heard faint sniffles from downstairs, knowing straight away why mum was crying. I tried to ignore it but after I led Harry to my room and told him to choose a film, I went to see if she was ok.

"Mum?"

"What do you want?" She sighed heavily.

She was trying to act as if she was fine although she failed to wipe her tears because she poked herself in the eye, making more of the watery substance spill out.

"What's wrong"

"Why do you care? You've got your perfect little life with Harry to be getting on with so just leave"

There was an awkward silence until I broke it with my shaky voice.

"Are you, drunk? Is it dad?"

"DON'T SAY THAT SOPHIE. HE IS NO DAD OF YOURS IF HE JUST LEAVES YOU LIKE THAT"

As mum started to shout, I took a tiny step back. When mum was angry, she sometimes got violent. That was the only thing I hated about her.

"Calm down, I don't want Harry to hear this"

"OH WHO CARES. THE WHOLE WORLD MIGHT AS WELL KNOW AND I STILL WON'T CARE"

"Mum, you don't mean that"

I stepped forward again and went to hug her when she roughly pushed me back.

"Hey!"

"WHAT? WHATS YOUR PROBLEM NOW, HUH?"

"Mum please stop shouting"

"NO"

"fine, then I will go upstairs with Harry because it is so obvious you don't want me here"

I turned around and attempted to run up to my bedroom but as I reached the second step, I felt a rough tug on my shoulders pulling me back down, making me fall to the ground. Luckily, Harry didn't come down but it was quite obvious he heard the shouting. He knew that he needed to leave us alone to let us talk.

"Mum. What was that for?"

"Shut up young lady, just get out of my sight"

"Now I know why dad left us. Because you're violent"

I pulled myself up, stomped up the stairs and into my room and slammed the door to have my privacy with Harry. I didn't tell him what had happened and I wasn't going to.
