Soldier's Wife.
Burden Of Bad News.
My auntie has been feeling a little bit strange lately like she has been facing a lot of pain around her cervical area, I hope it isn’t anything to serious. Niall and Angel are outside they are doing some father and daughter time while I accompany my auntie.
Debbie: “I am very nervous right now Rose I don’t want it to be anything serious, I hope it isn’t I have been taking care of my body.”
Doctor Albert: “Mrs Rose welcome I am sorry to keep you waiting for this long, what may seem to be the problem today?.”
Me: “My auntie Debbie seems to be feeling tremendous pain around her cervical area, so I am just curious as to see and reassure it is nothing serious.”
Albert: “I will need to do some x-ray first and for most to see her cervical area and make sure everything is smooth down there.”
4 Hours Later
Albert: “The x-ray results came out and it looks like you have a small bump around your cervical area, I am afraid to tell you that Debbie you do have cervical cancer. I don’t like burdening the bad news to families because, having cancer is nothing that is going to be easy to handle and it looks like you are in stage 2 that is why you are feeling pain Debbie.”
Debbie: “Jesus Christ…. Cancer….. my mother died from cancer I have never ever dreamed of having this disease because doctor let me be frank having someone so close to you die in front of your eyes is not something that is amusing. I have struggled with the loss of my mother for 5 years now I still cannot get over the day I saw her die, the only person that supported me when my father was not around, my guardian angel in life and my only best friend was gone. Now that I have cancer I don’t think that I can ever look at life the same way ever again, I will not even see my niece grow up to be a beautiful young women do you understand how much hurt this brings to me?.”
My whole world fell down straight to the ground and my soul has been snatched away from me, hearing the doctor say out loud that my auntie has cancer is one of the scariest thing a love one could endure. I always want the best health for all my family, and hearing my auntie go through this is one of the toughest things I have ever heard in a long time.
Debbie: “Please don’t tell Angel yet about it or Niall I don’t want anybody in the family to know about this, until I approach them personally and tell them okay Rose.”
