Any day now I could be going into labour and bring the next princess into the world. My stomach is absolutely huge and it feels like I am about to pop… literally. Niall has taking of the next few months of every day work and only meets up with the boys once a week so he can be here to help me around whenever I need. Today is only Monday and I’m sure Scarlett won’t be delivered today seeing as though she’s not dew til September 9th, so I sent Tahlia a quick text letting her know I am coming over for a few hours and Harry and Niall can have a chat. When Niall and I arrived at Tahlia and Harrys new place before I could even get my seat belt off Niall was already holding my door open ready for me to start getting out with my oversized stomach.
“Thanks babey” I said as I eventually got out of the car.
Niall winked in return, closed the door and grabbed my hand as we walked up to the front door. I leant over to press the small doorbell on the brick wall and we waited for either Harry or Tahlia to welcome us.
After almost 5 minutes of waiting at the door, Tahlia eventually welcomed us in. Her hair looked like a rats nest, one side of her shirt was tucked into her shorts and she was walking awfully weird. I gave her a weird look and a small smirk as soon as I figured out what she had been up to.
While Niall and Harry were in the music room, Tahlia and I sat down for a cup of coffee but of course I had to have a class of water.
“Sooo… what were you doing this morning before Niall and I turned up? I asked giving Tahlia a wink.
“I’m not sure what Harry was doing but I was cleaning the house” Tahlia replied almost convincing me.
“No tahlia, tell me the truth.”
“We arrr… you know”
“Oh yes, I know alright”
“Macy it’s so hard to say no! He’s just so good!” Tahlia said innocently.
I giggled to myself and took another sip of my water. A sharp pain hit in my low back and soon after my waters had broken. I went into shock and didn’t know what to do, Tahlia called out to Harry and Niall and seconds later they were both by my side. Niall grabbed my hand. My contractions felt like period cramps and were only 5 minutes apart. I stayed calm as Harry and Tahlia walked me to the couch while Niall called for an ambulance. During this first stage of labour I had an extremely bad back pain.
When the ambulance arrived almost half an hour later my contractions had become much more painful and I still had back pain. Niall was grabbed my hand as I squeezed it tight during every contraction. The paramedics decided to keep me where I was instead of going to the hospital and I was in labour for almost 12 hours until our little princess was in my arms.
Niall had a single tear running down his face has Scarletts tiny hand wrapped around in pointer finger in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.
As we arrived at the hospital Scarlett and I were taking into a small white room for a quick check up to see if all was okay.
“Scarlett is very healthy and will be able to be taking home in about an hour or so, Macy you are also all well and fine.” The nurse said as she read the papers.
I looked at my princess that was being held for the first time by Niall and smiled. As I looked back at the nurse Tahlia and Harry walked through the room door.
“Aw she’s beautiful” Tahlia began as she kneeled down and held her hand.
“Hey there Scarlett, its aunty Tahlia.” She finished.
“Aunty Tahlia aye?” I winked and I questioned her.
“Yeah Aunty Tahlia sounds cool” Tahlia snapped back.
I giggled to myself as Niall handed Scarlett to Harry. Tahlia sat down beside them on the long green chair.
“They look so happy” Niall smiled to me.
“They look like the parents” I replied.
“That’s not true. Our princess has a beautiful face like her Queen” Niall smiled as he took my hand.
“I love you Macy” he whispered.
“I love you too”
Harry and Tahlia handed Scarlett back over to me.
“You think we should go see your mum?” Niall questioned.
I looked down at Scarletts tiny head.
“Do you want to go see Grandma, Princess?” I asked Scarlett.
I slowly got out of the bed and put on my shoes. I held Scarlett in one arm and Niall took hold of my free hand. We walked down the long corridor to my mum’s room and slowly opened the door. Niall walked in first.
“Hey Jane, we have something cool to show you” Niall said trying not to make out that I had Scarlett.
I walked in the door as Niall opened it wider.
“Hey mum” I smiled as I walked into her room with Scarlett in my arms.
“Oh my god, oh… aw… come here!” Mum said with tears coming to her eyes.
I handed Scarlett over to mum as I stood back and hugged Niall. Mum used a soft voice as she spoke to her new grandchild.
NIALLS P.O.V.
I looked into Macys eyes and I knew she was going to be an amazing mother. I love her and I want to be with her forever. I’m going to be the best dad I can possibly be and I will protect them with everything I have.
I snapped out of my deep thought and joined Macy and her Mum in conversation.
“You guys have made one perfect little girl!” Jane said looking down on Scarlett’s soft closed eyes.
I looked at Macy and gave her a wink and a smile.
“I think we made a perfect child” I added to Jane’s statement.
After a long conversation, Macy and I eventually realized the time and went back to our room. We had been gone for nearly half an hour and just left Tahlia and Harry but when we entered our room they were in exactly the same place talking to the nurse.
Macy made her way over to the baby’s crib and placed her slowly down and wrapped her in a warm blanket.
“You guys are ready to go home” the Nurse said smiling.
I picked up Scarlett once again and grabbed Macys hand as we walked out the big glass sliding doors of the hospital. We said goodbye to Tahlia and Harry in the front car park as we made our way home.
I drove the car to the end of the drive way and sooner or later we were introducing Scarlett to her princess pink bedroom.
Macy put Scarlett into her new bed and played the mobile above. I saw a huge smile across Macys face as she ran her hand across her forehead.
“Good night Princess” I whispered.
It’s now 8 o’clock and Macy and I are cuddled up on the couch watching TV.
“It doesn’t even feel like I gave birth to our daughter this morning. It feels like days ago that she came into this world.” Macy stated.
“I was surprised with how well the labour was” I replied.
Macy and I had a long conversation about our day and sooner or later we were both in bed wide awake just waiting for her tiny cry.
Just as we both dozed off, there it was her cry. I let Macy sleep as I was sure she was stuff. I got up and walked next door to her room.
I leant over the side over the cot and picked my girl up in two hands.
“Shhh princess, go to sleep” I said as I rocked side to side putting her to sleep.
