The Newbie

There is nothing more awkward than going into closet with someone for seven minutes and just standing there. While Maddie tried to get everyone to agree to play, I went and got a bottle of vodka from freezer. If I was going to go through this, I needed something in my system. When I got back to the group, I was kinda happy that no one wanted to go along with Maddie's plan. Instead we decided to play True American. Harry, Riley, Sam, and Tom were on my team while the other guys were with Maddie.
By 2 a.m. I could barely keep track of what I was doing. Maddie and Sam were passed out on the couch and Riley was on the phone with someone. Everyone was in the living room except Harry. I could hear someone walking around the house but I couldn't figure out where they were. When I got up from the floor, I saw Harry standing over me. He appeared out of no where. It was kinda weird.

"Can we talk?" His breath smelled of rum and spearmint gum. I nodded and started towards the patio.
"Whats up?" I smirked as I perched myself on the edge of the patio table.
"Well, first I don't know if I told you how great you looked tonight. And I also wanted to know what was going on between you and Jason." He moved a strand of hair from my face. His touch was so warm and gentle. I started to feel butterflies in my stomach.
Without realizing it I placed my hand in his. "Jason? There's nothing going on with us. He's just having a tough time and I wanted to be there for him. We are just friends. If I didn't know any better I would have guessed you were jealous."
His green eyes were piercing mine. He just looked at me for a moment without saying anything. "Jealous? No. I just remember you telling me things about him. He didn't seem like a good guy at the time. I just want you to be careful. That's all." He quickly pulled his hand out of mine and walked back into the house.
Here I thought he was going to make a move but... As soon as I began to think about it, my phone was ringing. Ashley wanted to FaceTime. Perfect timing.
"Hey Ash, whats up?"
"You're not going to believe what just happened! So last night I went out to the bars and I met this older guy and he was AH-MAZING! When you get back I'm introducing you to his friends so we can double date! This is going to be awesome. Get some sleep, you look horrible! Bye love!"
And with that the conversation was over. It's a good thing she's moving on. I am so not looking forward to meeting this guy and his friends.
