More Than Words

”You both were amazing girls! Congratulations and well done!” Simon met us at the exit door of the studio and we laughed from relief. Ginger’s phone vibrates and she looks confused as she opened a text message she received.

Ginger’s POV:

I felt so happy and relieved when Simon mentioned that we both were great; suddenly my phone vibrates in my palm and I open to see a text message from Stina, our boss:

From: Stina K.

Sent at: 8:45pm

“Well done on your interview Ginger; I am so proud of both you and Violet. Are you going to consider modelling now?”

I wasn’t getting the message. I read it twice to understand what Stina meant in it. Was she asking us if we are going to quite our jobs? Was she just asking out of curiosity? I dialled her number and I took Violet’s hand and we went to the bathroom.

Stina: “Ginger dear, how are you!?” She asked excitedly and I was relieved, as Violet did still not understand what I am doing.

Me: “Hello Stina; I’m fine and you? I didn’t get what you meant in your text honestly.” I expressed my confusion while Violet crossed her hands and she looked more confused.

Stina: “I was just asking because what you answered meant that you girls are possibly considering modelling now.” She really sounded as it was a question; I rubbed my forehead from frustration.

Me: “No Stina; it was just a coincidence. We aren’t; don’t worry. “I replied calmly as I breathed out the negative energy and Violet sighed as she finally understood from my reply what was going on.

Stina: “I’m glad of my two girls’ decision; I’ll see you in a week! Take care and tell Violet I am so happy for her as well.” Stina was very pleased with my reply as I laughed and said goodbye.
