Through the Dark

When we arrive back at the hotel, before Liam gets out of the car, I touch his arm. “Thank you for protecting me back at the restaurant.” I tell him.
He smiles. “Of course love.” He pauses for a moment then takes my hand. “Lexi, something overcame me when I saw him hurting you. I had to protect you.”
I squeeze his hand. “I’ve never had a man do that for me before. It was quite sexy.” I wink at him.
He holds my gaze for a moment before looking away and saying. “We better go inside.”
I can’t hide my disappointment. Could he please just kiss me already?
Liam walks me to my door. “Thank you again, Liam.”
He laughs. “For what? Drenching you with water?”
I smile and put my hand on his chest. “Yes actually, for that, for a wonderful dinner, and for being a man and looking out for me.”
I’m looking into his dark eyes hoping mine are telling him everything I’m feeling. I move my hand around his chest feeling every perfect muscle.
Liam puts his hand in my hair. He bends down and whispers in my ear. “May I kiss you?”
My breath catches. “Yes, please.” I whisper back.
He connects with my eyes again before moving in to kiss me. My heart pounds with anticipation. He slowly moves closer. His soft lips brush mine gently. Then he takes my top lip between his perfect lips. He moves back in for my bottom lip. I eagerly respond. I open my eyes briefly to connect with his. Then his lips are on mine again. I open my mouth for his urging tongue. As he’s exploring my mouth I tug at his tongue with my teeth. He pulls back from me.
He tells me. “I better go, it’s getting hard for me to behave.”
As he turns away I grab his arm. He turns back to look at me. I tell him quietly. “Who says I want you to behave?”
He looks surprised. I’m leaning against the wall. He puts one hand on the wall behind me and leans in close. “Are you sure, Lexi?”
“Yes Liam. You are all I’ve thought about.”
He puts his other hand on my waist and his mouth is on mine again. My arms are around his neck. One hand in his hair. I love the moans that escape him when I tug on his tongue. Liam moves to my neck. Every perfect kiss sending shockwaves through my body. He whispers in my ear. “I’m not sure I can stop, babe.”
My phone rings. Crap! Liam pulls back for me to look at the screen. “It’s my parents.” I say feeling highly disappointed. Liam smiles. “You better get it. I’ll go take a cold shower.”
I take his hand. “I’m so sorry.”
He shakes his head. “Don’t be sorry love, that was incredible.” He kisses me one last time before heading down the hall to his room. I sigh then answer the phone. “Hi Mom.”
