Harry’s POV
Today’s the second day we’ve been here. It was killing me. The show just couldn’t come fast enough. I was kind of ready to get it over with. It wasn’t the fact of the show that often conceived my mind, but the fact that there’s thousands of people depending on us. And at times, it seems as if we can’t always please them.

I realized that March wasn’t as long ago as it seems to most other people. I still can’t get over it. None of us can. I always saw that person, and you know who it is, as a friend. But apparently, I was wrong.

Because last time I checked… normal people don’t go record new music the day after they tore apart a bond that was meant to last forever.

But, I try to forget. But its like when a family member or friend dies. You want to hold on forever, but you know its better to let them go. The grief and the pain kills you, but that little part of you, deep down inside, knows that its best once they’re on their own..

It’s the aftermath that hurts the most.

My thoughts get interrupted by two knocks on the door. I sit up in the bed and sigh to myself. I get up and grab my pajama pants. And yes, I wasn’t dressed. I had been in here all day. I haven’t ate a thing, only drank some water. That’s it.

I slide the pants up my legs. I soon make my way to the door once I hear three or so more knocks. While rolling my eyes lightly, I grab the handle and open the door. But my annoyance was soon broken as I saw who it was.

‘’Hi.’’ Cheyenne’s wonderful voice says. I smile gently as I open the door all the way, inviting her in. ‘’Hey..’’ I say back as she walks in the room and does a 360 twirl to get a glimpse of the entire room. She was dressed nice, as always.

‘’Wow, your room’s nice. Mine’s a little smaller.’’ She says as she walks over to the bed. I watch as she welcomes herself as if she’s at home, which I didn’t mind at all. She sits her phone on the nightstand along with her purse.

‘’So you been cooped up in here all day?’’ she says, looking up at me before sliding her feet out of her shoes.‘’Unfortunately, yes.’’ I nod a little as I join her on the bed. I sit on the edge beside her. Just casually, nothing more.

‘’You’re not even watching TV? Wow.’’ She laughs lightly. ‘’I’ve been occupied with my mom. She called earlier. We talked for almost an hour.’’ I tell her. ‘’Oh, that’s nice. Is your mom sweet?’’ She asks curiously looking over at me.

‘’Yeah. I guess.’’ I shrug gently. She’s sweet to me, but I’m her child so.. ya know. I don’t really know. Cheyenne doesn’t continue this conversation. Instead, she climbs father into the bed, in the middle.

I watch as she gets comfortable, lying on her back with the covers up to the neck. She looks at me and she smiles. ‘’You sleepy, Love?’’ I ask as I stand up from the bed. I head towards the sink, I was a little thirsty.

‘’Just a little. I was with Niall all day.’’ She yawns out. That caught my attention. I turn to look at her as I hold the cup of water in my hand. ‘’With Niall?’’ I ask, raising my eyebrows. ‘’Yeah.. he took me out for lunch and we just.. ya know.. hung out or whatever for a while.’’ She nods back.

I sit the cup down, not in the mood to drink the water anymore. So, determined to know more, I make my way back to the bed and I pull the cover back some. I get on the bed and sit about an inch away from where Cheyenne’s laying. I pull the cover back up, just so I don’t mess it up for her.

‘’So.. you and Niall? Is there.. a thing between you two?’’ I ask, nosy and curious. And maybe a bit jealous.

But c’mon Harry, think about it… He took her to lunch, but look what you’re doing with her! Lying in a hotel bed..

True.

“No, Harry. He’s just my friend. But if there was.. would you be jealous?’’ she asks me. I look down at her to see her looking up at me, a smirk on her face. ‘’Maybe.’’ I say honestly. ‘’Really? Why?’’ ‘’Because.. you know.. I like you and all.’’ I shrug gently to her.

Cheyenne blushes as she continues to gaze up at me. ‘’My boyfriend wouldn’t like to hear that.’’ She mumbles. ‘’Boyfriend?’’ I ask, a little confused. ‘’Yeah.. he’s so cute. He’s tall.. he’s strong.. and he’s definitely not a loser like you.’’ She giggles. But then I realize.. it was a cheesy, girlie joke.

‘’That’s cute.’’ I laugh a little at her. ‘’I was just messing with you.’’ She assures me with a wink. ‘’I know, I’m not a loser.’’ I smile. ‘’Oh, I was serious about that part.’’ She says this with a straight face. No smile. No blushing. No laughing.

I stare at her for a minute, trying to figure if she’s lying or being for real about this. But before I could think anything else, she bursts out laughing again. Is she high? A little drunk maybe? Nah, I’m kidding. That’s just her..

“I was kidding, Harry!’’ She laughs as she rolls onto her side and props herself up with her elbow, her hand resting on her jawbone. ‘’You’re a funny little thing, you know.’’ I wink as I slide down in the bed to face her. I lie the same exact why as she is, despite the direction.

To be honest, I like lying like this. Facing her. I know that she’s safe. Because she’s with me. I don’t know what her and Niall were doing, I don’t even care. I just want her to know that I love her. And I’m here. No matter what..
