Letters To Lily
Chapter 3
~June 13th~
Dear Lily,
You make me so happy and I’m proud to call you mine. I’m really excited about coming to America. Maybe we can talk things through and you know, maybe meet up. But anyways, I just wanted to remind you that I love you so much, with all my heart. And I know you love me to, Angel. I love you, Lily. Forever and Always, I Promise. Call me soon after you get this letter, love you Princess! Xx

I sigh as I put the letter down, not in the mood to do anything right now. Niall and I are currently still a little overwhelmed by our conversation last night. And honestly, for me, I’m sick of talking about the same old things.
Allyn tells me I’m stupid and that if I really loved Niall, I would go with him where ever he wanted me to go.
But what Allyn and Niall don’t know is that my mother is very strict, Allyn might know a little, but not much. Niall knows nothing personal about my mother.
Any who, me and my mother have a bond that can’t be broken. And she’s only so protective because its just me and her in the house. I graduated in May, so I’m doing Online College, to save us both a hassle.
I’ve always wanted to please my mother, because my father never did. My dad is off and doing whatever he pleases to do. I guess things got to boring for him in New Orleans, so he headed for New York. Stupid, really.
My parents have been divorced since I was a little older than six. I didn’t know much about the situation at the time, just that Mama and Daddy wouldn’t be in the same house any more.
But now that I’m older, I’ve experienced more things, I’ve been through a lot of situations, all the way from falling in love to tripping over my own feet, literally.
My point is, my is full of ups and downs, and all those other analogies people say, and I just don’t have time to be “dating”.
Allyn is my best girl friend. She’s my everything, and always have been since we met, we were four. I trust her and I love her like the sister I never had. But I try not to let her convince me to do things I’m not comfortable with. And no, I’m referring to drugs and alcohol, I’m talking about the whole Niall situation and the fact that I’m some what stupid and immature about this, well to her I am.
My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on my bedroom door. It opens and my mom smiles sweetly. I haven’t gotten an apartment yet, I’m trying to keep things low for as long as I can.
‘’Hey, Honey. Allyn’s downstairs. She’s getting something to drink. She’ll be up soon.’’ She smiles.
‘’Oh, okay.’’ I smile back. My mom is so nice to me. I love her so much.
‘’So, tell me..’’ She says as she comes in and walks over to me and sits down on the bed beside me.
‘’Did you talk to Niall all night last night?’’ She winks.
‘’Not all night. He’s like seven hours or so ahead of us.. and I didn’t want to keep him tied down all day.’’ I sigh out.
‘’Ah, I see.’’ She nods, understandingly.
I hear the sound of Allyn’s singing and soon, she enters my bedroom too.
‘’Well Hi there, Miss Stephanie, I didn’t know you’d join us today!’’ Allyn laughs a little as she joins us on the bed.
‘’We’re just discussing Lily’s boyfriend.’’ Mom says.
‘’No, he’s not my boyfriend…’’ I sigh out, rolling my eyes lightly to both of them.
‘’Shall we ask?’’ Allyn pulls her phone out of her purse.
‘’You have his number?’’ Mom says in shock.
‘’Yep. He gave it to me just incase anything ever happened.’’ Allyn tells her.
‘’Oh.’’ My mom nods as Allyn does something on her phone.
‘’I’m gonna text him.’’ She mumbles.
I hear the sound of the typing and a few minutes later, she’s showing me the messages Niall and her have sent.
Allyn: Hey, Lily’s Mom wants to know if you’re Lil’s boyfriend?
Niall: If she wants me to be…
Allyn: Oh, trust me. She does!
Niall: Ha, okay. Guess I’m her boyfriend then, eh?
Allyn: Yep! I’ll be sure to tell her ;)
Niall: Alright.
“I hate you.’’ I huff, pouting like a little kid with my arms over my chest.
‘’Sweetie, don’t be upset. He’s cute. And besides, its not a big difference. You two are already lovey-dovey with each other. I’ve seen some of the letters he’s wrote.’’ Mom says, winking and smirking at me.
‘’I.. I just-‘’
‘’He’s your boyfriend, honey. Get over it.’’ Allyn says seriously, getting a laugh out of my mom.
‘’It really isn’t that bad. He’s an amazing young man, now isn’t he Lillian?’’ Mom says.
I hate it when she says my actual name. At least it wasn’t my entire name this time.
‘’Yeah, I guess.. its okay.’’ I smile gently, staring down at my hands.
I just sit there and think. Is it official?
