Where could he be? I thought to myself as I stood in the kitchen looking at the table I had set for us tonight was supposed to be romantic just him and I. He was supposed to be home an hour ago! It wasn't like Liam to just no show up without calling to tell me he was going to be late, especially when he knew how big of a deal this was to me! Maybe I should call Andy or one of the boys...

"Hello, Charlotte!" Andy answered cheerfully

"Hi Andy, by any chance have you seen or talked to Liam?" I asked nervously biting my nail

"No, sorry, Love... Why did you mates have a fight or something?" Andy asked suddenly serious

"Oh no nothing like that, I just haven’t heard from him, he was supposed to be home quite a while ago" I said starting to panic, I tried to make sure Andy didn't hear it so he wouldn't freak out.

"Would you like me to go looking for him?" Andy asked picking up on my panic right away

"No no I'll wait a little longer, if I still haven’t heard from him in an hour I'll call you" I said to Andy evening out my voice so it wasn't as shaky

"Alright, Love are you sure?" He asked sounding worried

"Of course Andy thank you, I'm sure he’s just running late that’s all..." I said my voice trailing off

"I'm sure that's what it is" Andy said not sounding so sure himself

"Bye" I said hanging up the phone and sliding it into my pocket. I sat down at the table to wait my thoughts trailing off...

Liam and I have been together for about three years now. We met when I lived in California, I was just coming out of yoga I still had my yoga shorts and a stretchy tank top and my mat strapped to my back. I needed to hurry and get to my apartment to change my clothes. I had promised my best friend Claire that I would go and get lunch with her before I had to go to class at 1:15PM at Academy of Art University; I was currently majoring in Art Education and Photography two of my favorite things in the whole entire world! Claire my best friend had taken another route she, like me was attending Academy of Art University but she was majoring in Fashion and Acting. How she is going to combine those two I'm not even sure she knows yet.

As I was walking around the corner I smelled the coffee from the coffee shop and knew I was getting close to my apartment. My phone started vibrating letting me know I had a text message, I looked down to see that it was from Claire wanting to know where I was about to hit reply when I ran into something hard, like a brick wall! I closed my eyes waiting for the impact of the floor and my butt, but it never came instead someone wrapped an arm around my waist and held me to them. When I opened my eyes I was staring right into a guy’s very rock hard chest and I couldn't say I minded much...

"Oh no are you alright, Love?" He asked in a British accent that only made being pressed up against him that much sweeter

"Yes, sorry I wasn't watching where I was going!" I said my face turning bright red

"I'm pretty sure it was my fault!" He said laughing, I laughed along with him. When I tried to move back I realized that his arm was still around me and from the looks of it he suddenly remembered to because his face turned red as a beet!

"I'm Liam by the way!" He said holding out his hand

"I'm Charlotte" I said shaking his hand. I looked down at my phone checking the time, it was 12:30PM CRAP!! I was supposed to be at the diner thirty minutes ago! Claire is going to kill me!

"Oh no I'm so sorry I have to go it was really nice meeting you!" I said as I turned to go in the direction of the diner Claire was waiting for me at

"Wait I thought you were going that way" He said pointing his thumb over his shoulder

"I was but I'm running late!" I said laughing at how ridiculous that must sound

"Well can I at least get your number Charlotte?" He asked his cheeks turning slightly red again

"Sure" I said handing him my phone but not before looking at the clock one last time it was now 12:40PM and if I didn't hurry I would be late to class as well! Liam handed me his phone while he took mine and I put my number in his as well. Once he handed it back I started backing up

"It was very nice running into you Charlotte; maybe we can meet up sometime!" He said smiling

"Just text me!" I said throwing him a smile before jogging away. I had to call Claire and tell her I needed a rain check on lunch there was no way I was going to make it!

"Where are you Charlotte?!" Claire said picking up the phone

"I'm so sorry I ran into this guy and I got stuck and I can't make lunch can we try maybe for dinner?" I asked breaking into a full on run down the side walk

"I'll see I figured this would happen so I have your laptop bag and books so just drop by the diner and we will trade" She said sighing on the other end

"Thank you Claire I love you so much!" I said

"Hurry up you, butt face" She said hanging up.

I finally got to the diner and Claire was waiting outside for me dressed in her business clothes from work, she worked at her father’s company as an intern why I haven't a clue it was the suckiest job ever! I only know because I worked there for a year and a half until I couldn't take it anymore.

"You own my Charlie!" She said trying to act serious but the corners of her lips were tugging up into a smile

"I love you Clairebear!" I said grabbing my bag and giving Claire a big hug before running away

"Whatever Charlie" I heard her say laughing from a distance. After running what seemed like an hour I finally arrived to class with about a second to spare, talk about luck! I settled into one of the uncomfortable chairs and got all of my things ready for an uneventful lecture.
