Falling For Love...
Feels Like Forever
{Katie's POV}
I slowly opened my eyes and attempted to step out of bed, only to be pulled back and held tighter by Harry.
"Come 'ere. Please go back to sleep babe, stay with me," he mumbled
I shook my head. I wasn't feeling tired at all.
He let out an exasperated groan.
"Nice try, loverboy," I teased
He playfully flipped me the bird and proceeded to close his eyes and continue to rest a little longer. I jumped up and then rumaged through my clothes for something comfortable to chuck on before I went and made breakfast. Giving up, I left and started walking down the hall. I felt a little awkward walking around alone in just one of Harry's flanel shirts... I turned a corner and almost fell back as I ran into something, or should I say... someone...
"OHMYGOD I'm so sorry! I didn't think anyone would be awake yet so I wasn't watching where I was going and I didn't mean t--" I said quickly before whoever it was cut me off
"Shhh... Hey it's ok ahaha, You're gonna wake the whole house,"
If Harry came out right now he would NOT be happy. It was Niall... and he'd helped me up by putting his hands around my waist.
"Um..." I was unsure of where to look or what to do. What if Harry came out?
He cleared his throat, "I-I um... Have t-to... Uh---" He leaned close to me, did a double take over his shoulder and then pushed me away, running back down the hall.
Slightly shaken, I found my way to the kitchen. Lying on the benchtop was something that - this time - I wasn't particularly pleased to see...
another rose
and there was NO DOUBT as to who it was from this time...
I'd sensed it...
It was so obvious and in plain sight! How could I not have worked it out sooner? Was I an idiot? Urgh...
...
But on to more pressing matters...
What's for breakfast?
I opened up a couple of cupboards and found nothing.
"DO YOU PEOPLE EVEN EAT?!" I shouted in frustration. Then I laughed as I realized how stupid my current situation was... I thought one of my boyfriends bestfriends likes me and Im worrying about food... I don't even think I need to sort out my priorities... I guess I just like food.
I stood at the bench, staring off into the abyss of nothingness in front of me, wondering what today will have in store for me. Then I felt two strong hands reach out from behind me and wrap around my waist. I gasped and without a thought I turned around and pushed him away, punching his arm.
"STAY AWAY! WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!" I shouted, "I'll call for Harry, you know I will!"
"Calling for me to save you from me isn't gonna help, love," Harry said winking
"S-s-sorry, I thought you were... nevermind...aha..." I said, embarrassed
He raised his eyebrows at me consernedly but passed it off as nothing, then he saw the rose lying on the bench.
"WHAT'S THIS?" He scowled, storming over and snatching it up.
"I don't know who it's from," I lied, "but whoever it is, they've got nerve..."
In fact, I was now 100% sure that I knew where the roses were coming from... And I wasn't planning on giving that information away anytime soon.
"Ah, nevermind..." He said, "Let's make pancakes," an air of childish excitement crossed his face and his hands found my waist again
"But there's no--"
"Did you check the second fridge?"
"There's a sec---" I trailed off, realizing that I never even checked a fridge in the first place, "Fuck."
Harry laughed.
"Shut up Styles!"
"Make me!" he teased
"I would, but you'd enjoy it," I replied, cheekily poking him in the stomach
He lurched forward and kissed me, pushing me against the bench. It was probably one of our most passionate kisses yet and I think it was because part of him was still enraged with the thought of someone else buying me roses. He pulled away and I bet you wouldn't have been able to wipe that stupidly gorgeous grin off his face if you punched him right on the nose.
"Let's make pancakes," I said breathlessly
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
"There are a few rules you must follow when you go into this interview," the round, stern-looking man instructed me, "One, If you want to continue to keep your relationship with Harry a secret then you must LIE, two, you might be asked questions that you can not answer, in this case you must make something up, three, whatever happens will happen, jut let it play out and don't disrupt! It might be extremely unpredictable so just play along or make a joke out of it, four, you have to be relaxed and cool about the whole situation and laugh at EVERYTHING,"
I stood in front of two men. One was the short, plump man that was addressing me and the other was a tall, sharp, fierce looking man whose gaze was piercing mine. They both wore black business suits with a single word stitched above the top left pocket...
Modest!
"So basically, lie and cheat my way through, make some stuff up and laugh a lot? ..." I said, trying to sound confident with the idea.
"Don't make it sound so easy... it's not," the tall one sneered.
I flinched at the sound of his raspy voice and a shiver ran down my spine.
"Wll that be all?" I asked, silently pleading that they would leave.
"That will be all," the plump one confirmed, spraying flecks of spit everywhere as he spoke.
They turned and left the changing room that I was given for the morning. I breathed a sigh of relief when the door shut. Behind me on a clothing rack, hung a plain white singlet and a fawn, knit cardigan. I had been instructed to wear them along with some faded, fashionably-ripped jeans, some pastel-pink pumps that I could barely walk in and an assortment of brown accessories. Anytime now, I would be expecting someone who will curl my hair and apply my make-up. I couldn't believe they were going to make me put on all that make-up. I looked at it all behind me through the mirror I was facing and sighed as I saw all the shades of light pinks and browns. At least the colours were fairly natural... As I scanned the bench top I saw a flash of red out of the corner of my eye. It took a double-take for me to realise that there was someone else in the room.
Niall stood just inside the doorway in a plain, white t-shirt and jeans. His hair was already shaped into it's trademark quiff and he was smugly twirling a red rose between his fingers.
"I KNEW it was you!" I scoffed, taking a step back.
"How long?" He demanded, reflecting my motion by stepping closer.
"How long... what?" I spat, "Do you even know what you're doing?"
"How long have you known?"
His tone was a little menacing and I'd even go as far as to say he was getting angry.
"This morning... it was pretty obvious the way you acted when you ran into me..." Then I repeated his question, "How long Niall?"
and he reflected my answer... "How long... what? Katie?"
"Don't play stupid with me, you know what I mean!"
"No. I'm not sure I do know what you mean. How long... what?"
We were now face to face and both of us were bubbling with emotion. I was angry. Did he really think he could do something like this to my relationship with Harry? We were all such good friends... I was reading his emotions and I sensed lust and sadness but also anger. A great anger at the thought of losing out.
"How long have you felt this way?" I finally asked
His whole composure changed. His face dropped slightly and he looked weaker. It was a huge contrast to the smug smile he was wearing earlier. I continued to stare him down until he answered.
"I- I- don't know... but it feels like forever,"
I felt awful. Afterall, he was my bestfriend in the band. He looked up and asked me a question that I couldn't bring myself to answer...
"How long will I have to wait for you?"
I couldn't do it. I couldn't hurt him like that. I'd gone far enough as it was.
"I- I- I need to get ready for the interview Niall... could you please leave while I get changed?" I tried to change the topic and get him to leave.
He stood up straighter and I realised that he had been leaning over me, and I had been pushed up against the bench the same way that Harry had pushed me against the kitchen sink this morning. He straightened his clothes and turned to the door without a word. Just as he was about to leave he turned back to me.
"Harry won't here a word of this ok Katie?"
I didn't know what to say.
"Katie, Promise me he won't hear a word!"
I did the only thing I could...
"I promise."
...
What have I done?
I slowly opened my eyes and attempted to step out of bed, only to be pulled back and held tighter by Harry.
"Come 'ere. Please go back to sleep babe, stay with me," he mumbled
I shook my head. I wasn't feeling tired at all.

Notes
Hahaha, So I've got like some kind of flu and I'm sitting here thinking about where I'm taking this and then these words took my fancy:"I saw a flash of red out of the corner of my eye. It took a double-take for me to realise that there was someone else in the room."
and then I was like, "Lol, let's make this a murder mystery... *Maniacal Laughter* LET'S STAB 'EM! WOO HOO! Wait... wtf?"
PLEASE HELP ME I'M SO SICK! I WAS GOING TO KILL NIALL HELP WTF? MY MIND IS SO MESSED UP...
And it would have messed up the rest of the plot...
JUST YOU PEOPLE WAIT! THERE ARE GOING TO BE SO MANY REVEALS COMING UP!
While I was writing the Niall part though, I was listening to "See No More" by Joe Jonas and it actually worked SO WELL. Then the song "Let You Down" by Hungry Kids of Hungary came on and it's all about how the girl wants to let the guy down in a nice way but she can't work out how and I was like "KATIE IS NOT LETTING NIALL DOWN NICELY! THIS SONG IN THIS PART IS SO IRONICLY HORRIBLE" #Feelzzzz
Omg love it keep updating ....
