My secret
Leah’s POV
Before I could stop myself I walked to Niall instead if Ash. When I came to a stop next to Niall. He smiled with confusion at me. “Hey” I said. “Hii” he replied. His facial expression suddenly changed, from confused to SHOCKED! “Did I cause you eye” he asked and his tone matched his expression. “Yeah” I reply “I am so sorry! I didn’t mean to kick you in the face with the ball” he said in a sad tone “It’s ok!” I reply, trying to reassure him, but I can see he’s still upset with himself. I try to walk over to Ash but it’s like I’m not in control over my legs or any other part of my body except my mouth, but suddenly I realised I no longer had control over that to. My breathing started to speed up and before I knew it I was having a panic attack and not just anywhere but at the hospital and the next thing I knew I was ‘lights out’ and I couldn’t see or feel a thing.
When I woke up I realised I was still sitting in one of the chairs in the hallway with Zayn and Luke watching over me like a mother cat watches over her little kitten, protecting her kitten with her life. “What happened?” I asked immediately “You fell asleep after you ate your plate of food” Zayn replied “AND we had to carry you all the way from there to here” Luke added. “So I didn’t have a panic attack?” I ask confused “N-o” Luke and Zayn reply even more confused than me “Oh” I said in a soft voice “Yeah” they replied, taking their time. “Why?” Zayn suddenly asked with a rush in his tone “It’s nothing” I replied trying to convince him it was nothing but I know if this was a test there would be a BIG RED ‘F’ on it.
“I might as well tell you guys. I had a dream, well I hope it was a dream, in any case. The doctor called us and said the 2 were awake and we are allowed inside. I ran to the ward they were in and when I reached the door I froze and you had to push me in, and before I could stop myself I went to Niall. When I got to Niall we said a few things to each other and I then tried to go to Ash, but I was glued to the floor, cause I had no control over my legs or any other part of my body except my mouth, but a few seconds later I lost control over that to. My breathing speed up and the next thing I was having a panic attack while standing next to Niall and then it was dark and I couldn’t see a thing. It’s like whatever it was, was trying to keep me away from Ash” I told Zayn and Luke and just then a doctor came and told us that we could see them. My heart started to beat faster than it should and I tried to stay calm but luckily Zayn was there and at that moment he was the only one who could calm me.
After Zayn calmed me, we started to walk to the ward where Niall and Ash were in. When we reached I stopped in the door to see who was where. When I saw Ash I started to run to him and when I came to a stop next to him I gave him a tight hug. “I’ve missed you” I say into his neck. “Really” he asked sweetly “You have no idea” I reply. “Hii” Luke says as he walks up to Ashton. “Hey bro” Ash replies “How you feelin?” Luke asks. “Not too bad” Ash replies “Cool” Luke smiled. “How’s Niall doing?” Ash asked “I’ll go check” I tell Ash before I turn around and walk towards where Niall is laying.
“Hey” I say to Niall as I walk up to him. “Hii” he replies with a smile. “How you feeling?” I ask him “Alright and you?” he answers.“ME??” I asked totally confused. “Yeah you, the girl I had kicked in the face with a football ball” “Oh” I answer suddenly remembering what had caused these 2 idiots to be laying here at this moment, instead of chilling at home. “I’m fine” I smile. “Good to know” Niall said smiling back at me. “I gotta go” I excuse myself and before I knew it the nightmare became a reality. I couldn’t move my feet of any other part of my body. Suddenly I felt warm arms wrapping around me. “I won’t let this happen to you” a voice said from behind and I realised it was Zayn. He helped me find my way back to Ash. When we got to Ash I went to sit next to him and I just stared at him.After a while he took my hand and I then rested my head on his tummy. I fell asleep like that and this time I had sweet dreams.
Dreams of me and Ashton dating and doing crazy stuff together that I never pictured myself doing with him. I also dreamed of where Ash and I finished school and ended up traveling the world together, but that dream was interrupted with a dream of Niall and I house sitting for Liam and also where Niall and I went on this crazy romantic date and also Niall and I going to ‘Fun Land’, but then that dream got interrupted with a dream of me being with neither one of them. I was in a room with no one else around me in the pitch black darkness and when the lights finally came on, the dream turned into a nightmare. Me being in a car accident with Ash and then the doctors told me when I woke up that Ash didn’t make it out of the crash, well not alive.
I then suddenly woke up and I realised Ash was no longer here. I picked up my phone to see what time it was, it was 10:36. I stood up and just as I wanted to go and search for him he came rolling in. “Hey beautiful” he said “Don’t leave me” I told him with tears in my eyes. “What happened?” He asked realising something must’ve happened. “I had a nightmare where we were in an accident and when I finally woke up the doctors told me that you died in the crash” I told Ash, but what I didn’t tell him, was that before we crashed we had a huge fight. I can’t remember what the fight was about, but it was bad.
*The next morning*
I hate the fact that I have to go to that hell in disguise called fucking school! Cause now I can’t be with Ash. The reason I acted that way last night was because I have a secret and haven’t told anyone about it, not even my best friend.
I’m a banshee and for those who don’t know what a banshee is, a banshee is someone who can predict violent death. Banshees are not the cause of death, they are simply just a warning signal. A banshee also screams/wail to signal that a violent death is about to occur. And for some reason I have a feeling that soon I’ll be screaming to signal that Ash’s violent death is about to occur…
