Waiting
Ash’s POV
When we finally made it to Leah, the rest of the gang were already around her. Leah sat there with an ice pack on her face. When she saw me she smiled with confusion. “What happened to you two?” she asked. “Both of us ran to come to your rescue, but on our way we collided” I said with a smile “You guys are idiots!” she laughed. “You think?” Niall said. “Are you ok?” she asked “We don’t know, but neither one of us can stand on our own” Niall replied. “Should we call the medic?” Zayn asked.“Yeah” Leah answered for us and Zayn stood up and walked to the medics. “Leah, were fine, there’s no need for medical attention” I said. “Well see” Leah replied.
“Hii guys” the friendly medic said as he walked towards us with a bed. “Hii” both of us said at the same time. “What can I do for you two?” the medic asked “Well I have a strong pain in my leg” I say “and I have a strong pain in my knee” Niall said. “Ok let’s have a look?” the medic said and for the first time I could see his nameplate ‘Gary’ it said. He motioned Luke to place Niall on the bed.
Niall’s POV
“Does this hurt?” the medic ‘Gary’ asked as he touched my knee. When he touched it I felt an excruciating pain in my knee. “Oooouch!” I exclaimed “I think we’re going to need to take you to the hospital” Gary said.“Ok, but what about Ashton?” I asked in a panic as I started to cry out of pain, because for the first time the pain got worse. “We’re going to look at him now” Gary replied calmly.
Ash’s POV
Gary came walking towards me and told me that they are going to need to take Niall to the hospital and he motioned Luke to place me on the second bed that he had brought. Luke helped me to sit down on the bed and I tried to reposition myself but I couldn’t cause it was fucking sore. “I’m going to have a look. So tell me if this hurts” he said before he pressed on my leg. “Yesss!” I yelled and immediately he stopped pressing on my knee. “Ok looks like trouble for both of you guys” he said. Just then Leah came walking up to me and placed her hand in my neck. “You two are really idiots!” she said before she planted soft kiss on my forehead. Just then Gary pushed me into the ambulance and asked Leah if she is the one that is going to ride with to the hospital. “Yes” I replied before she could even think of an answer. She just looked at me and smiled as she sat down next to the bed I was on. “Why” she asked with a smile in her eyes. “Both Niall and I ran to see if you’re ok and on our way we collided, and just for the record it wasn’t JUST my fault.” I replied with a smile. I can see where the ball had hit her, cause the skin had started to turn a purple, blueish colour. “Your eye” I said. “Yeah?” she asked in a question. “It’s turning black or is it purple or is it blue” I said causing her to laugh. “It’s nothing compared to your leg” she said as she looked down at it. “As long as you’re fine, I’m fine” I replied, causing her to blush. “Okay” she said before she smiled at the ground. “I love it, when you do it” I said. “What?” she asked shyly, looking EVEN cuter. “I love it when you smile at the ground” I said as I placed my hand on hers. “Oh” she smiled. Just then we stopped at the hospital and Gary opened the door. “You’re going to have to wait there” Gary said to Leah as they pushed me into the hospital. “Wait” I said before Leah got too far out of my reach. “Yeah” Gary asked. “Leah” I replied as I motioned her to come towards me. “Yeah” she said as I took her hand in mine. “I love you” I whispered into her ear and kissed her on her hand. “I love you to” she replied as she kissed me on my forehead. I released her hands from my grip and she walked out to where she had to wait.
Leah’s POV
Both Ash and Niall had to go into surgery cause both of them had dislocated their knees very badly. Luke came with Niall to the hospital and Zayn came afterwards. We have been sitting there for a few hours, waiting for them to come out of surgery. Zayn, Luke and I are sitting in a row waiting for the doctors to finish the surgery. We have been sitting in silence until Zayn broke the silence with his questions. “How long have they been in there?” was his 1st question, “When will they finish?” was his 2nd question, “Why did those two get to be the idiots?” was his 3rd question, “Why isn’t anyone answering my questions?” was his 4th question. “Maybe cause you’re asking the one after the other and not giving us a chance to answer?” I replied softly. “Sorry, I’m just really worried about them” he said as he sat down. “It’s fine” I replied. “I think we all feel like that” Luke said and Zayn and I gave a nod in reply. “I’m hungry” I moaned after a few minutes causing Luke and Zayn to burst into laughter. “OK, let’s go get something to eat” Zayn said. “Yay!” I exclaimed. Causing all of us to burst out in laughter AGAIN.
When we reached the cafeteria we each found some food and when delicious smell of the food entered my smelling machine I remembered that I still have to tell my mother that I’m going to be late today.
Leah: Hii mom… I’m going to be a bit later today, cuz Ash and Niall (I will tell you who he is when I come home) are in for surgery and I want to stay till when they wake up. I’ll ask Zayn or Luke to take me home. Love you Leah xxx
Anne: Ok I will see you at home then, but who is Zayn + Luke?
Leah: Zayn is one of Niall’s friends and Luke is one of Ash’s friends
Anne: What did those 2 do?
Leah: I’ll tell you when I come home

Tick that’s done, next on the list is my food. “So what did your mom say?” Zayn asked. “She says it’s fine, but can one of you guys take me home?” I asked. “Sure” Zayn said “Thanks!” I reply and give him a hug. Zayn is different…The others are all clued up in sport, but Zayn is the more artistic one.
Our food finally arrives and within a few minutes I am sitting with an empty plate in front of me. I then picked up my bottle of soda, but before I could even put the edge to my lips Luke stood up and grabbed both me and Zayn’s arms. I didn’t even notice that those two were finished. I Looked up and saw the reason Luke had reacted that way. “Idiot” Zayn told Luke when we came to a stop and he let go of our arms. I quickly grabbed onto Luke to keep my balance. “Hii, guys” the doctor said, once Zayn and I had our balance. “Hii” Luke replied. “The operations, was successful and soon you will be able to go and see them” the doctor said with a smile. “Thanks” all of us replied.
Finally after the long wait, we’re on our way to see them. Zayn and Luke are walking as fast as a bunch of grannies! So I pushed past them and started to walk as fast as I could. When I reached their room I stopped, suddenly too nervous to enter… WEIRD. I stood there frozen until Zayn and Luke arrived. I couldn’t move until Zayn pushed me into the room.
“Hii” Luke screamed as he ran to Ashton’s bed. “Hii” Ash said with his volume a bit more normal than Luke’s. I don’t know why, but I didn’t go to Ash…I went to Niall.
