Leah’s POV
For a moment I stood there day dreaming and when I “woke up” I motioned Ashton to walk with me to class, when I realised that my friends had already left and had already entered the school, leaving Ash and I still standing in the parking lot.
“See you on the field.” I said to Jesy as I walked out of the changing rooms. When I came to a stop at the field I saw Ashton on the other side of the field sitting next to my school bag and my sports bag, busy playing with my hockey ball and unaware that I’m watching him. I had a feeling someone was behind me and I kinda knew it was Jesy because I know her breathing patterns all too good by now. “I see you’ve been admiring him for a while now.” she said as she let out a giggle. “Maybe” I responded and let out a giggle myself. “I just gonna get my stick and ball.” I said as I turned around and saw Ashton staring at me. I just ignored him and kept on walking. “What?” I said as I sat down next to him. “It’s just I’ve never seen you in a short and I’ve also never saw you’re legs and I’ve gotta say Holy fuck, they are beautiful!” he said and It’s true, I always wear jeans to school. “Thanks” I replied as I removed my ball from his grip and stood up to get my stick. Just when I had my stick and started to move towards the rest of the players, Coach motioned me to warm them up. I called all of them together and told them we’re going to run the hockey field twice. We then lined up and started to run the field twice. The whole time through practice I could feel Ashton watching me and that made me smile.
After practice Jesy and I said our goodbye’s and both went our own way, she on her way to her car and me on my way to Ashton. “Do you practice every day?” Ashton asked as I picked up my bags. Ashton then grabbed it from me, leaving me with nothing to carry. “No, only on Tuesdays and Thursdays.” I replied while trying to get my water bottle which he took from me when I picked up my bags, which he also took from me. “C’mon, I just want my water bottle.” I said. “Fine” he laughed and handed me my water bottle. “Thanks” I said. Just then we arrived at his car and he opened the trunk and put my bags in. He then walked to my door and held it open for me to climb in. After he closed my door he jogged around the car and got in the driver’s seat.
“So, how did I do on my first day he asked as we pulled up in my driveway. “Not too bad I say.” Smiling as I collect my bags and waving him goodbye. “Mom, I’m home” I yelled and a few moments later I saw my mother’s friendly face appear around the corner. “Hii, how was school?” She asked with a smile. “Not too bad” I reply with a smile.
*2 weeks later*
“So your house or my house?” he asked as me as we drove out of the school and came to a stop at the robot. “Make it your house” I said. “Ok” he smiled.

When we arrived at his house he told me that his mom was out, so we had the whole house to ourselves. He led me into his house and told me to make yourself at home with a HUGE smile! He returned from the garage with my bags which I totally forgot about. “Sorry, I totally forgot about my bags.” “It’s fine, in any case I would’ve stopped you before you could.” Ashton smiled. “But still, I feel really bad!” I said after Ashton put the bags down. “You have nothing to feel bad about.” He said as he took my hand in his. “Come” he said as he pulled my upstairs to his room. He motioned me sit down on the bed as he went into the bathroom. When he came out of the bathroom he had his swimming trunks on a bikini in his hand. “Wanna swim?” he asked as he handed me the bikini and motioned me to get changed. As I walked towards the bathroom Ashton stopped me. “Thanks” he said as he took my hands, “for?” I asked. “You forgave me after everything I did to you” he said with a sad look in his eyes. “Ash, I’m glad that you did that to me, because otherwise THIS would’ve never happened.” I said and pecked him on the cheek before I walked into the bathroom. I changed into the bikini and it fitted perfectly. I wonder how did he know my size or what sort of bikini I like… I walked out of the bathroom with my hands placed on my tummy as I tried to cover it and feeling very self-conscious in front of Ash. “Wow!” he said when he saw me walking out of the bathroom. “Now all you need to do is remove those hands.” He said as he removed my hand from my tummy. I tried to fight back, but soon realised that it was useless. He then kissed my cheek, before picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder like a bag of potatoes. I punched his back but realised it was no use.
He carried me out to the pool and placed the towels on the grass. He then started to run and I knew what’s going to happen next. He jumped into the pool with me still hanging over his shoulder. “Nice!” he said when he came up. “Really?” I laughed “Yeah! So what do you wanna do?” Ash asked. “Well I’ve went through all the trouble to put on the bikini and I stopped fighting back when you picked me up and I went through all the events leading to you jumping in with me still hanging over your shoulder. So I guess I choose to swim.” I laughed and soon Ash started to laugh uncontrollably. For a few moments we both just stood there in the pool not caring about anything or anyone else but each other as we both just laughed. “What time is it?” I asked after a while. “I’ll go check” he smiled. I just laughed at him while he went back into the house, leaving me still in the pool.
For a while I stood there playing with the water, while praying that Ash would return soon, but nothing helped.
“Hii” a voice said into my ear and I could tell that it wasn’t Ashton. I immediately turned around and moved backwards. In front of me stood 3 guys. The one taller than Ash and the other 2 about the same height. “Who,..Who are you?” I stutterd. “Sorry! We didn’t mean to scare you like that” the tall one said. “I’m Luke, this is Calum.” “And I’m Michael” the other one chipped in. “Hi” I replied. I wonder if there are Ashton’s friends.. Just then Ashton returned, making me relax a little more. “Hey guys!” he said as he walked towards them to give them a ‘guy hug’. I got out of the pool and wrapped my towel around me as I saw Michael looking at me as if he has never seen a girl in a bikini.
“Leah, I assume you’ve met Luke, Calum and Michael?” he asked. “Yeah, but please guys don’t ever do that to me ever again!” I said as I let out a giggle. “Yes, mam!” Calum said causing all of us to burst out in laughter. “So, Ash, aren’t you going to introduce your little friend?” Michael asked with a sly smile. “Guys this is Leah.” He sighed. “Leah as in THE Leah?” Luke asked with a big smile. “Yeah, Leah as in THE Leah!” Ash said as he returned Luke the BIG smile. “Huh?” I chipped in. “He didn’t tell you?” Calum laughed.“Nope” I replied and let out a giggle. “Here’s the story, Ash…”is all that Calum could get out before Ash cut him off. “Ok... I’m sure she doesn’t have to know that.” Ash said while is cheeks turned RED. Luke and Michael bursted out in laughter and soon all of us were laughing. “So, what were you guys doing here?” Ash asked when all of us stopped laughing. “Well as far as I know we had band practice?” Michael said. “Oh Yeah, I totally forgot about that.” Ash replied. “Yeah, I think we can see that.” Calum laughed and looked at me. “Band practice?” I asked. “Sorry, I haven’t told you that I play in band.” “Cool!” I exclaimed. “What do you call yourselves?” I asked out of curiosity. “5 Seconds Of Summer.” Luke replied. “So, are we still having that band practice?” Ashton asked. “Hell yeah!” Calum exclaimed. “Come” Ashton motioned me and the rest of the guys.
As we entered the house Ash got two of his shirts, one for me and one for him. We went to the garage and for the first time I saw the door that leads to the musical room. When we entered the music room all I could see was musical instruments.
“Wow! It’s amazing.” I said without thinking. “I thought you would like it.” Ash said as he smiled at me. “So, what do you play?” I asked. “Oh, I play the drums.” smiled. “Cool!” I exclaimed and let out a big smile. “You can sit over there if you like.” Ash said. I nodded in reply.
The couch I sat on was grey and fluffy – very comfortable. Ash smiled at me before he sat down at the drums. I then changed my attention to the rest of the guys. Calum played the bass guitar and Luke and Michael the electric guitar. I then turned my attention fully to Luke, and I’ve gotta admit he is really cute. Just then they started playing and as soon as Ashton’s drumstick hit the drums I…,I don’t know what happened to me but something inside me had awaken. And this last happened a few years ago. When Luke started to sing THEN everything had changed. For the first time in a while I actually took in what happened around me.
When the song ended Ashton stood up and walked towards the fridge. He then took a soda and came to sit next to me. “So what instrument do you play?” Ash asked me “What makes you think that I can play an instrument?” I asked. “The way you reacted to the music when we started playing.” He said with a smile. “Oh” I said “and I play the guitar and a little bit piano”
“Are you serious?” he asked shocked. “Yeah, I’m serious.” I replied and let out a giggle. “Can you play me something?” he asked as he made me a puppy face. “Why?” I asked him… “Because I think you will look amazing behind a guitar!” he said and leaving me stunned for a few seconds. “Okay, I’ll do it.” I said. By then he had already put down his soda can. He then took my hand and pulled me all the way to the guitars.
“Choose one” he said with a smile. “Ummm, I think I’ll take the acoustic” I smiled. “Just know that you’re also going to play the electric” he said with a BIG smile. Causing me to laugh.
“So guys, Leah is going to play us a little something” he said to the guys and then turned back to me. “Cool!” Luke said and smiled at me and for some other reason I felt like I could run a marathon after he smiled at me or even swim at the South Pole. “So WOW us!” Michael said and for some reason I don’t like him! He is so nasty to me as if I had done something that had offended him, yet I couldn’t find one thing that could’ve been wrong! I sat down on one of the chairs in the room and suddenly I couldn’t think of anything to play, but suddenly I just started to play. I didn’t think, just do
