You Are My Best Friend

Harry, Louis, Liam, and Niall all piled into the same SUV as me. We rode to the airport in relative silence. I was sitting next to Harry, and the ride the airport was a long one, so I leaned my head on his shoulder, and closed my eyes and he put his arm around my shoulders. I heard someone clear their throat, as if to get my attention. I cracked one eye open and saw Niall leaning over.

“Ehm, Skyler, Harry, since when are you…”, he trailed off awkwardly.

I sat up, and looked at Harry questioningly. He smiled and turned to Niall.
“Well, like two days ago. Sorry I didn’t tell you”, he finished.

“Well thanks for puttin’ us in the loop, man”, said Louis sarcastically. He and Niall and Liam turned back to their music and phones. When I was sure they weren’t listening anymore, I whispered in Harry’s ear,

“Harry, are they actually mad? They seem like it. I didn’t want to make them upset!”, I asked, concerned.

“No”, he laughed, “They’re just acting. They’ll quit by the time we get to the airport”.
Since I was now reassured, I went back to sleep. Little idea did I have of the craziness that would happen in the next 24 hours.
