What Goes Around Comes Back Around

I was failing at hating him; I didn’t want to hate him. He’s Luke Hemmings, though not everyone knows him like I knew him. The cute, shy and dorky kid who seemed to be perfectly fine with just playing some guitar and messing around with his friends. He’s grown up now; still cute, less shy, a little less dorky and loving his “famous” lifestyle with his three best mates.

He was right; I did have to change my attitude towards him to make this work for the best. I didn’t want to be let go of this job, it paid better than any other we had been asked for so far. I shrugged it off and was splashed with an overload of salty water. I was picked up, making me scream out loud…I have this thing where I don’t like to be picked up; I want to be in control.

I was thrown into the deeper end of the water surface, mouth open wide. I came back up coughing as I inhaled the water. The others kept on laughing at me, so not funny, they needed payback, some sweet revenge; a reminder not to mess with Willow Clark.

‘you are just a bunch of pricks’ I laughed along

‘you love every bit of it’ Calum joked, trying to tip me back over in the water.

‘DON’T YOU DARE CALUM’ I yelled

‘alright alright, I won’t’ he raised his arms as if he hadn’t tried to do anything.

‘let’s have an adult water fight’ Ashton suggested, he picked up Sapphire putting her on his shoulders.

‘oh water fight’ Michael grinned, doing the same to Peyton.

My heart skipped a few beats as Luke swam up to me quickly. Calum was closer, though Luke didn’t seem to want to team up with Rose and to be fair, I get that, Rose is a total girly girl who could cry over a broken nail. He pulled me into his side and smiled down on me. Out of a reflection I pushed him off me, he seemed a little hurt by my action, but this was getting too intense too early in this stage of forgiveness.

‘don’t be a stranger’ Luke whispered in my ear

‘we are as close as strangers can get’ I reminded him, again I saw his heart sink a little further in his chest

‘want to team up?’ Calum asked as if he pitied me

‘no, I’ll take the loser’ I smiled hitting Luke’s arm playfully. Calum grew a wide smile and skipped through the water up to Rose ‘sorry, I know I agreed upon playing nice to make this work’

‘its okay, I kind of deserved it I guess’ he shrugged, bending down so I could climb onto his shoulders. His arms were holding my legs tightly as if I was not to fall down. He stood up and I felt sky high, little Luke had became much taller.

‘same teams as derpball?’ Ashton asked

‘team CAKE all the way’ Luke bounced up and down, making my loose a bit of balance, I quickly grabbed his hair ‘OUCH’

‘sorry, just stop bouncing’ I squealed, Calum and Rose came over and I high-fived Rose ‘don’t be a girly girl. Show some teeth and don’t get distracted by any broken nails…keep on going, you can cry afterwards’

‘someone’s in it to win it’ Luke laughed

‘I don’t like to lose a game and especially not to the bunch in front of us’ I ruffled Luke’s hair with my hands. My heart skipped a beat as he stroked my legs a little, I was falling for him…again.

‘let’s wrestle it up’ Ashton yelled excited ‘3…2…1’

We started to wrestle it out, Rose squealed like a little baby…yelling some words I couldn’t understand. Peyton showed her teeth as if to be intimidating, though she didn’t scare me. she didn’t pay attention for a second and I pushed her by the shoulder, making her and Michael backwards into the water.

‘THAT’S MY BABY’ Luke yelled enthusiastically, my heart stopped for a moment I think, he just called me baby? Was I seeing more to this then he even meant it to be? Over thinking the situation was going to be the end of me? Did I really want him back in my life? I think I do, at least, I think…
