There were very few vehicles on the street, and it was a very dark night. During the next few minutes everything happened too fast for words. A vehicle came from the bend at high speed without horning, and the driver of the vehicle Mary-Ann and the lot were in swerved to the right and went right into a wall, peices of the wall broke through the shutters of the jeep. Mary-Ann knocked her head on a peice of the wall and passed out, so did Louis, Zayn and Shari, the others got out of the vehicle and saw ambulances. They were all rushed into the hospital, Liam, Niall, Harry and Sienna were checked by doctors and they were told that there was nothing wrong with them. Harry was looking for Mary-Ann and found a doctor stitching up her forehead, he held her hand until the doctor was done and after she was checked for any other damage, the doctor let her go, they found Louis and Zayn who also had minor injuries that were tended to. But none of them had seen Shari, a few minutes later, Shari's parents, Sienna's mom, Mary-Ann's grand mom and Harry's mom showed up at the hospital. A doctor spoke to Shari's parents and they were told that Shari was still in surgery with severe injuries. Everybody sat in the waiting room for any news. Mary-Ann's mom called and she wanted Mary-Ann back home as soon as possible, which was now just a day away. Mary-Ann looked at Harry who was talking to his mom, he saw her staring and smiled. Liam sat down next to Mary-Ann, "Great way to finish your summer holiday huh" he said with a weary smile, Mary-Ann smiled at him, Zayn who was next to her nudged her "Do you know what you're going to do with Harry when you're going back?" he asked. "No.honestly, I don't" she replied and looked down. Just then the doctors came into the room and spoke to Shari's parents, her mom sat down and cried while her father shook his head, evryone else in the room got the message. Sienna, Mary-Ann and Harry broke into tears, the others looked at each other and sighed. They had never expected this. The day after the next, they all met at the funeral, Shari's parents were still in tears, Sienna and Harry were red eyed, Mary-Ann, Louis, Liam and Zayn stood with the two of them. Harry took Mary-Ann's hand in his when they closed up the grave. The seven of them walked back alone after everyone had left. Mary-Ann hated to hurt Harry more, but she knew she had to.
"Harry, I think we should talk about what's going to happen" she said, close to tears
"What do you mean?" Harry asked, confused
"I'm going back today and i don't think it's the best idea to continue what we have"
"What? You want to breakup? Now?"
"Harry, I'm sorry but it's going to be really hard for us to keep this going, you're all the way here, I'm in California, you go on tours and you always have work to do and even if you do come to the US, I'm not allowed to leave school except during the holidays, how are we going to have a relationship like that? And even if we do, we're just going to keep getting attached and it's going to be even harder later, might as well just end it now" she finished and looked up at him, her eyes were clouded with tears and so were Harry's. "So, you don't even want to try?" he asked. "I can't Harry, I'm sorry" she cried. "Mary-Ann, was this just a summer fling for you?" he asked, he sounded hurt. "God, no, Harry, it wasn't" she replied. She hugged him, and looked into his green eyes that seemed to go on deeper and deeper, she knew she was doing the right thing no matter how hard it was, Harry took her hands in his and smiled "Meeting you was one of the best things that has ever happened to me and I will never forget you and who knows maybe fate would put us together again", he kissed her. Mary-Ann got into the car that would take her to the airport. That summer was one they wouldn't forget, they had the best time until they lost a friend, no one was going to forget it.
