Mary-Ann went shopping with Shari and Sienna the next day. "Hey, do you guys want to get something to drink?" Shari asked when they were in front of the coffee shop where Mary-Ann had met Harry the other day. "Sure" both Mary-Ann and Sienna said together. They went inside and spotted One Direction sitting in a corner. "SHARI!" Louis screamed from across the shop, the girls ordered and sat down with them. Mary-Ann sat next to Niall and Harry winked at her from across the table, Mary-Ann looked down. "We've got the next entire week free, Shari can we go to your parents' cabin by the lake for a day at least" Zayn asked, that was the first time Mary-Ann had heard him talk. "I'll ask my parents" Shari replied. After that was settled Mary-Ann started talking to Niall, Niall was one of the nicest guys she had met. Mary-Ann got up to leave when her grand mother called, she lived around the corner so she told them she'd walk alone but Harry insisted on coming with her, she finall gave in. "You get nervous around me, don't you?" He grinned. Mary-Ann didn't reply, she felt his hand brush against her's and she felt her heart flutter again, she sighed and looked, she felt Harry staring at her. Suddenly, he took her hand in his and turned her towards him, he smiled and said "I know you like me, that's why you get so nervous". Mary-Ann pulled her hand away, he put his hands on the wall behind her making it impossible for her to move, "let me take you out, please, just to get to know you" he said still smiling, his smile made Mary-Ann want to melt, "I don't think that's such a good idea" she replied, Harry moved away from her, she began to walk. "Why not?" he asked.
"Because you're a big superstar, and I'm not"
"It doesn't matter, please just once" he said, taking her hand again. She couldn't say no, she knew she'd hate herself for agreeing but she did, she saw the excitement in his eyes when she did and smiled. He dropped her home, "I'll pick you up tomorrow at seven" he said and kissed her cheek and left. She smiled to herself after he left, she was sure she didn't like him but she didn't know why she felt happy. Sienna came over later that evening, "I heard about your date tomorrow" she joked, "Excited?"
"No, it's just a stupid date, why would I be excited?" Mary-Ann snapped.
"Because it's Harry freaking Styles, most girls would be jumping with joy by now"
"I'm not most girls"
"Oh, you're no fun, what are you going to wear?" Sienna asked, still trying to annoy Mary-Ann
"I'll find something, you seem more excited than me about this date" Mary-Ann laughed.
"Of course, hello, this is Harry Styles" Sienna said, "i can't believe you're not excited"
Sienna left after dinner and Shari called, "Hey, I asked my parents about the cabin and they said okay, can you come too?"
"I'm not sure,I'll ask my mother and my grand mother and let you know tomorrow" Mary-Ann replied, she knew her mother would never let her go, but she hoped she would. "Alright, well good luck on your date tommorow" with that Shari hung up. Mary-Ann shook her head and called her mother, to Mary-Ann's surprise, her mother said it was alright for her to go. She sent a message to Shari to let her know.
She woke up late the next day knowing she had nothing to do until it was time for the date, she checked her phone and saw a message from ab unknown number:
-Don't forget about tonight, I'll be there by seven, Harry x.
She sighed and replied:
-Haven't forgotten, see you at seven, Mary-Ann.
