The next two days were so perfect. My mom and sister Jazady came to visit while Keith was here. We all went out to dinner the last night he was home. While everyone was eating we were all having our own little conversations. So I took the opportunity to ask Dani what she wished for. Looking at me with newly saddened eyes she said "I really don't want to tell you because I know my wish is selfish." Grabbing her hands I replied "Hun, just tell me what it is and I'll let you know if it's selfish or not." "I wished for daddy to stay here with us forever." "That's Not selfish Dani you just want your dad." She said with tears falling from her eyes "I know he's a super hero and he saves everyone from bad guys but I just want him to myself and I know it wasn't fair for me to ask for that but that's what I truly want." My eyes brightened with a sort of sadness because she was so torn and I knew that I couldn't give her what she really wanted. What we all really wanted.Drying her eyes she turned to the rest of the people at the table. The rest of the night I couldn't help but feel bad for her. I was trying to figure out how to make it up to her. I mean I know nothing I could do would replace the time she so desperately wants with her father but maybe something to help keep her mind busy for a while. And then I got an idea and it just might work with a little convincing and a new cake. So the next day after we dropped Keith off at the airport and said our tearful goodbyes, or as Dani liked to say our "see ya later" I stopped by Dani's favorite cake shop Platine Cookies. "What are we doing here?" She happily questioned. "We're buying you a new birthday cake so you can make another wish." Confused she said "But I don't know what else I could wish for. Also it's not even my birthday so it's not going to work." "I promise it'll work" She looked at me in a confused way but still got out of the car and went into the shop with me. We ordered her favorite cake from there, the chocolate cake with cream cheese filling and chocolate fudge frosting. The top read "Happy Wishing Dani". We went to get some candles and then returned home. At first she didn't want to do it because she was afraid it wouldn't work but I told her to trust me that if she makes a different wish it'll come true. I was prepared for her to just not want to do it but right when I thought she was going to walk away she said "O.k I trust you". I lit the candles, she closed her eyes and was silent for a few seconds. Then in the softest voice I heard her whisper "I wish to go to the One Direction concert in New York". She blew out the candles and gave me a big hug and said "Thank you". "No problem. What did you wish for?" She smiled the biggest smile and said "I can't tell you." We had our cake and she got ready to go visit her friends for the weekend. That was my cue to get familiar with this band and to find out when their concert was going to be. I had a lot of work to do and i had no idea where to start so I called Jazady over to help me out a bit. When she arrived the next morning and I caught her up to speed she kind of laughed at me because I didn't really know to much about them. I told her I know somethings just not much. "Well once you go down this road there is no turning back. Trust me I've tried." Rolling my eyes I replied "Ok they can't be that good." With a smirk she said "It's not just their music that draws you in it's them and the way they are. How they are with each other and with us their fans." I couldn't help but laugh I mean come on they can't be that hypnotizing. Can they? The rest of the day we spent on YouTube, Twitter and Tumblr just soaking in all that is One Direction. And I had to admit I was almost instantly hooked. They're so beautiful on the inside and out. "So what do you think?" Hesitantly I replied "Well I think I'm a little obsessed" Laughing she simple said "Told you so." We both started laughing. "So Jess, who is your favorite?" " I don't know" "Oh come on Jess everyone has a favorite even if they don't like to admit it." "Who is your favorite Jaz?" "Honestly" "yep" " Liam because he is so cute and so strong and he is so responsible yet really silly all at the same time he's perfect" I burst into laughter "Well don't get all hot and bothered over there Jaz." "I'm not" She replied laughing. "O.k so we need to get these tickets for Dani." "How are you going to do that? They've been sold out since the day they went on sell' "Don't worry they always save really good seats. The tickets are just going to be a bit higher then the normal price. Almost all venues save extra tickets for people who can afford to pay a little extra if they decide to go to something last minute." So I got on the phone right away to a friend of mine named Alyx. If anyone can get tickets it's Alyx. "Hey Alyx do you think you can get me 3 of the best tickets to the One Direction concert in New York?" "Umm... that's going to be a bit expensive and a bit hard but ya give me 15 and I'll call you back." "Ok thank you." So we waited that 15 minutes and it felt like forever. Phones rings and I answer it. "Hello, did you get them?" Alyx clears hit throut before answering and says "It was hard but I got them. Do you want to meet up or me send them to you?" I replied almost screaming with happiness send them so they aren't burning a hole in my hand. Send them 2 day before the concert." Ok let me know if you need anything else, bye." "Bye" Jazady "Well?" I got them we're all going to New York for the concert and I'm going to make it a full vacation we'll stay there for a week. Dani's going to love this."
