Jessie's POV

I woke up to the beautiful sound of birds outside my bedroom window. I was fully awake but was way to lazy to get out of my comfy bed. It was so peaceful. I hear my bedroom door open and the sound of my niece's laughter start to fill the previously quite room. "Sasha, get up get up. Do you know what today is!?" Dani says as she jumps on top of me trying to wake me. "No I have no idea what today could be." I say jokingly. "It's my 8th birthday and you promised to take me to get a dress before my party." She says in a whinny voice. "Oh but I'm so tired I don't think I could get out of bed" still joking. Dani did not like that response at all. So she gets up and starts jumping on the bed saying teasingly "oh I hope you're not trying to sleep because I'm just so hyper I don't know if I could stop jumping." "Oh really!?" I say as I grab her and pull her down to tickle her. We play around a bit until she looks at me with the utmost sincerity. "Are you really to tired to take me to get a dress?" "Of course not hun. I'm never to tired for you. Now go get ready and I'll be doing the same. Have you ate yet?" "Yes.." she said with a little smerk in her face. "Oh what did you eat?" I asked already knowing the answer. "I ate a bag of chips.." "Dani that is not breakfast we'll stop somewhere and eat." I said while getting out of bed. "No! I don't want to take away anymore time from shopping my dress has to be perfect for daddy." Knowing she wanted everything to be perfect for her dad brought tears to my eyes. We haven't seen him for a year now he was deployed overseas, and he's only going to be in town for 2 days. "Aww Sasha don't cry. He'll be home today." As I wiped my face I told her "We'll just go to a drive thru so it won't take long because you have to be nice and strong for daddy. Now go get ready. Don't forget to shower." "Ok love you Sasha!" She yelled while running to her room. I went to the bathroom and took a shower then got out, put a towel on, and walked back in my room to get dressed. I decided just to go with my favorite Ramones shirt that I've had since i was like 13. A black pair of skinny jeans and some black vans. After throwing my hair in a messy bun I went to check on Dani. She was all ready except for her hair I threw it up i a messy bun and we left. We went throw a Starbucks drive thre and got some coffee and something to eat. As we arrived at her favorite shop in L.A. Pookies. We were there for what seemed like forever and she tried on countless number of dresses before deciding to go with 2 beautiful dresses. The first dress was for the "dinner" part of the party. It was a beautiful black and white dress that fit so perfectly. The second dress was for the "dance" part of the party she went with a stunning teal summer dress. After paying we went to our favorite place Church & State. We both order a ham and cheese tart. Which is basiclly a fancy way of saying a ham and cheese muffin. "Have you thought about what you want for your birthday yet hun?" I asked while handing the waitress the payment for our meal. "Yes. Well kind of. See I know what I want but I don't know if its selfish to ask." "Dani, nothing you ask for would be selfish you've had a hard year so you deserve it." While driving into the drive way i notice a car that I hadn't seen before. "Who's here?" "I don't know the party doen't start for another 2 hours." I replied as we walked to the house. When I opened the door I dropped all of the bags. "I thought you weren't going to be here till later?" I asked the man standing in front of me. "DADDY!!!!" Dani yelled as she jumped into his arms " I was able to catch an earlier flight. I didn't want to miss any of my babies birthday." my brother replied as he hug his baby girl tightly. When the make up artist arrived we got there she asked how I would like Dani's make up done. "Very lightly. She's turning 8 not 18." I said smiling as I was getting mine done. With everyone dressed we lef tfor the party. the dinner part of it was amazing. but of course my favorite part by far was the dance part because Dani got to put on her own little concert singing all her favorite songs like What makes you beautiful by her favorite band One DIrection. when it was time for her cake we all sang happy birthday to her and she made a secret wish.
