You're Cute Come Kiss Me ~ H.S. Fanfiction

Nia's POV

"We're here," Harry exclaims as we pull up in front of a beach. He turns off the car and we get out. Surprisingly, there are a lot of people, but it's a big beach.

We walk down the sloping hill of sand, down to the actual beach. I follow Harry to a small, outdoor seafood restaurant.

We take a seat and place our stuff on the table. "I'm gonna change, wait here," Harry smiles, taking his bag and walks to the men's room.

I put my hands on the armrests of the chair and sigh.

It hasn't even been twenty-four hours and I already missed Austin. But calling him while I'm giving Harry a chance (to be my friend) would be rude.

Luckily, I didn't have to, Austin called me.

"Hi, Austin," I exclaimed. "Hi, babe! How are you," he says through the phone. "I'm fine. I'm at the beach with Harry," I said. "Are you going to swim," he asked. "He asked me to wear my suit but I don't want to," I replied. "Just make sure he knows that body is mine," Austin laughed. "He does," I replied, just as Harry came out of the men's room, only in short, showing off his toned body.

"Nia," Austin asked, snapping me back to reality. "Yes. He knows. Well, he's back, bye Austin, love you," I said. "Bye, babe," Austin exclaimed before hanging up.

"You're actually going to swim," I chuckled. "Nah. I just wanted to dress like this," Harry replied sarcastically, making me laugh.

"Come, Nia," he said, reaching his hand out. "Let's walk on the shore." I hesitated, but took his hand. I stopped on the edge of the water to remove my sandals and carry them with my other hand.

Harry and I walked on the shore, next to each other, leaving appropriate space.

"So, you've been seeing Darcy," I asked. "Yeah, I take care of her for a while then, I go back home. There's nothing for me to do there anyways; it's summer," Harry replied.

"And you've been going out with Austin," Harry asked, avoiding eye contact. "Yeah," I replied. "We've been dating for four months and a month ago, he decided to live with me."

"And he hasn't proposed yet," Harry asked. "Um, what do you think," I laughed. "Sorry, I just thought, if I was Austin, I would've proposed the first time I saw you," Harry exclaimed. "What," I said.

Harry didn't reply, instead he splashed me with water. Me, splashing him afterwards. We continued splashing each other, as if it was an actual game.
