You're Cute Come Kiss Me ~ H.S. Fanfiction

Nia's POV

"Mum, why not," I whined while my mum walked around the kitchen, fixing things here and there. "Because it's on a school night and it's in a place I don't know, Nia," Mum replied sternly.
"But Elle and Vic are going," I said, crossing my arms across my chest. "Well, Elle and Victoria aren't my children. I hate how you always drag Elle and Vic into our situations," Mum said, a bit matter-of-factly. "Nia, I don't want to here anything. I'm not letting you go and that's final," she said, turning her back on me and wiping some plates. "Fuck," I muttered before marching up the stair and into my room. I slammed the door and sat next to my window.

I sat there, quietly, muttering to myself. "Why the fuck not?! I'm a twenty-year-old already, I don't need my mum telling me what the fuck to do," I whispered. Suddenly, my phone rang. It was Vic.

"Hi, Vic," I sighed. "Shit, Nia! Where the fuck are you? People are already getting drunk and the guys are coming in," Vic yelled over the pounding music. "I'm at home. Mum won't let me go," I replied. "Well then, sneak out," Vic said, annoyed. "I don't know, I've never snuck out before," I said hesitantly, biting the tips of my nails. "You're twenty, Nia. All twenty-year-olds have snuck out before. It's not something new," Vic replied. I scratched my head annoyingly before replying, "fine!" I hung up and slammed my phone onto the mattress of the chair.

The worst thing I've done to Mum was tell her I hated her - back when I was eleven because she wouldn't buy me the doll I wanted. I wasn't sure sneaking out would work; I've never attempted it.

I changed into a pair of skinny jeans, a gray tank top - which showed my belly button, a leather jacket, and a pair of gold combat boots. I stuffed my phone into my pocket and fixed my make-up. I looked at the time and it was already 9:30; Mum would be sleeping by now.

I took a sticky-note and wrote:

Nia's sleeping! Don't disturb her, alright?!

I opened my door slightly to place the note and slammed it shut before locking it.

I knew Mum had a key to all the rooms in the house, I still kept precaution inside. I stuffed a pillow case with my towel and put a hoodie over it and put a blanket over it and using two pillows for my legs.

I put both feet onto the sill, still unsure of how I was going to get down. Mum always locks the door and I wouldn't be able to lock it from outside, so I couldn't use the front door.

It was a bit chilly and there was a slight breeze, flowing the direction I was going, making me more nervous to jump. I looked down. It's only one floor, Nia.

I extended my foot ten inches from the sill. I would land on grass, but it would still hurt. I placed my legs out and sat on the window's sill before jumping down, and rolling on the grass.

It hurt my back a bit but I wasn't hurt much. I looked back at my house before running of to Sean's house, where the Back-To-School Party was.
