*Lady Antoinette's POV*

I kissed him slowly on the lips, being sure to gently bite him as I pulled away. He let out a slow groan and ran his hand through his hair.

"Oi! The things that you do to me Toni!" I giggled and traced his jaw with my pinky, admiring his perfect face.

Sir Zayn really was a looker.

"I was afraid I would lose you when the Prince summoned you. With those gorgeous eyes and this beautiful body," He paused to run his hand down my sides. I shivered under his touch.

"I just knew there was no way the prince would be able to resist!"

"Ai babe. But I did everything I could to be as undesirable as possible! Mom gave me a clout, but you are worth a thousand clouts!" Zayn nuzzled my ear where the purple bruise was already shrinking.

"Ugh! I get so angry when she marks your body in such a way! Only I can mark you. No Prince nor pauper should ever enter my paradise." He growled, sucking my neck til he left a spot.

"Naught but you bebe. Plus we're in the clear! Jefferson decided upon Roni. A rather interesting choice."

"Ai! Harry was so heated he drank himself into a deep sleep! Didn't wake up until two days later!"

"Harry? Your childhood pal?"

"Ai. The same."

"What's he to do with Roni? Are they...seeing each other?" I whispered and my voice cracked. Partly because I was alluding to an act of treason against a Prince and partly because I was hurt that Roni wouldn't tell me she was doing such a thing.

"Nay. But I assume Harry has the feels for her. And who doesn't? She is a bit of a sexy devil." He shrugged. I swatted him and he laughed.

"But naught as fine as my rose of course." Zayn kissed me softly, but I pondered this.new revelation of info.

"We should set them up!" He groaned.

"Toni! Can't we focus on us a bit longer?"

"Nay! I mean Ai! But wait, hear me out! What if I watch for signs that she likes Harry and you watch for signs that he's certainly into her. Then ta-dah!"

Zayn rolled his eyes and chuckled.

"Whatever you say my love."

I smiled and pecked his lips. He kissed me back, harder. And this time I succumbed to his desires. ****************************************************************

*Lady Veronica's POV*

I sat by myself in my room reading a book, happy to have escaped the confines of my mother's parlor. The door cracked open and Crissa poked her head in.

"The Lady Antoinette is here to see you."

"Oi! Then let her in Crissa! I've only been waiting on her for ages!" I whined. Toni practically fell through the door in her bellowing skirts, huffing and puffing and trudging with a small limp.

"Goodness me! Sorry I'm late Roni!"

"Quick! Take a seat! Did you run here?!" I asked, leading her to the bed and gesturing Crissa to grab some water.

"Ai! I was on time! I got stopped by a knight on the way, and so I had to run to get here at an acceptable hour!" She laughed, chugging down the water.

"Oi! These knights sure are something! I know one, and boy is he a pain in my ass!"

Toni looked at me a moment through slanted eyes before shaking her head.

"Ai! But they aren't bad looking now are they?" She giggled. I threw a pillow at her, causing her to squeal and swat me back.

"Just noon of the last day I met this young lad named Harry! HE was a looker if I've ever seen one. " She licked her lips and winked. I felt my hands ball into fists, but I couldn't tell why.

"Oi! Never met him. But I've heard Crissa and the bath maid whispering about a knight with such a name. They say he's bad news, so you should keep your distance." I lied.

Antoinette clucked her tongue thoughtfully.

"Well I'd like to get some that action! Whether it's bad news or NOT!" This time when I hit her with the pillow, she flew over the side of the bed, hitting her head on the dresser .

"Ooch Roni! I was jesting! I know you have eyes for him!!"

I felt my heart stop and I looked over to the bookshelf where my journal sat. Seemingly undisturbed. I grabbed Toni's wrist.

"No one can know! Now who told you that?!" I hissed, my hands shaking.

"You. Just now!" She laughed, pinching my cheeks.

"Well who would plant such a thought in your head?! I am an engaged woman after all!" She strolled over to the dresser where I now stood with her hands on her hips.

"Just my own personal observations...now are you for sure you like him?!?!"

I shrugged and my flopped onto my bed, screaming into the mattress.

"Oi Toni! I know myself not! We've known each other for but a week now. Its impossible! Yet I find that every night I stand on the balconies waiting for him! But Antoinette! I'm engaged!!!" I pouted.

She pulled me into her arms .

"Tush! Tush! Where there is a will, there is a way!" She soothed.

I quieted down and stared out of the balcony window.

I hoped she was right.
