No Control

Normally at the stadiums before a show, Liam hangs out with the guys while I work but not tonight.
He’s hanging out in the room while I work. Never leaving me. It hurts me how much this incident has upset Liam. I’m still a bit jumpy but I don’t think Jake will be coming around anytime soon.
Liam comes up behind me. He pushes my hair aside and kisses my neck. It feels so incredible. I turn to face him and put my arms around him.
“Are you alright?” He asks me. He gently touches my arms. I’ve worn long sleeves so you can’t see the bruises, but he knows they are there.
“I’m ok Liam. Why don’t you go hang with the guys. I’ll be fine.”
He frowns. “Are you trying to get rid of me?”
“Of course not. I just don’t want you to be bored in here watching me when you could be hanging with the guys.”
Liam gets a naughty smirk. He kisses my neck and whispers in my ear. “I could never be bored watching you love.”
His kisses are overwhelming me, when we are interrupted by Paddy. “It’s time Liam.”
Liam puts his forehead on mine. “I’ll see you out there?”
I smile. “Of course. Have a great show. I love you.”
I see Liam talking to Paddy in the hall. When I see Paddy remain behind I go out to talk with him. “What’s up Paddy?”
He hesitates. “Nothing.”
“Paddy!” I push. He sighs. “Liam has asked me to stay with you. To watch over you.”
I take a deep breath. “I know he wants to protect me and that means the world to me but Paddy you have to promise me that you will always put Liam first. If it ever comes to it, you protect him over me.”
Paddy shakes his head. “That’s not what he would want Liz.”
Tears form in my eyes. “I know.” I don’t have to say another word. Paddy understands what I’m saying to him.
I wipe the tears from my eyes and tell him. “Let’s get out there so you can do your job.”
