No Control

The next couple days are kinda crazy. Liam barely made it to sound check on time, but it was worth it to be together a day earlier. Now we get a couple days off.
I wake up and rub my eyes. The bedroom is filled with purple balloons. All of a sudden Liam bursts through the balloons and jumps on the bed. “Happy Birthday Beautiful!”
I giggle. “You remembered!”
Liam gives me a kiss. “Of course I did, love. This is the best day ever. The day you were born.”
I touch the side of Liam’s face. “You are too sweet. Thank you for the balloons.”
“Those are just the beginning. We can do whatever you’d like this morning, but this afternoon we are taking a little trip.” Liam winks.
“Where are we going?” I ask excitedly.
“Ahh, it’s a surprise love, I can’t tell you.” Liam teases.
Then he gets a serious look, puts his hand under my chin lifting it till our eyes meet. “I want this to be your best birthday yet.”
I smile sweetly at him. “Liam, if I’m spending it with you, it will be.”
His fingers are in my hair and he kisses me. “What would you like to do this morning love?”
“I have an idea.” I raise my eyebrows and run my fingernails down his back.
“Mmm. That’s a present for me too.” Liam says with a naughty grin.
“Ya, I’m generous that way.” I laugh
“Yes you are. How about I be generous with you?” He says as he slides down the bed. I grasp at the sheets as Liam gives me an incredible birthday present.
Later, after Liam and I are done being very “generous” with each other, I get ready. When I’m done I find Liam on the couch. I sit on his lap. He puts one hand on my lower back and the other on my thigh. “I’m ready whenever you are.” I tell him.
He rubs my thigh. “One thing before we go.” Liam reaches behind the pillow on the couch and pulls out a small wrapped box. “Here love, Happy Birthday.”
I give him a look like you shouldn’t have, but I know better than to protest. I open the box and inside is a beautiful necklace. It’s two gold L’s entwined together.
“Liam, it’s perfect. I love it. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome babe. Let me help you put it on.”
Liam fastens the necklace around my neck and touches the charm where it lies on my chest.
“It looks beautiful on you love, I knew it would.” Liam says. “Ready to go?”
I give him a kiss. “Absolutely.”
