A Very Harry Diary

“Do you mind if I take this?” I ask Scarlett. She shakes her head. It’s Kendall calling. “Hello.” I answer.
“Hey boyfriend, what’s happening?” She says. I can hear the smile in her voice.
“I’m at lunch with Scarlett.” I say. Scarlett smiles at me and takes a bite out of her sandwich.
“Oh, is she coming to the party? You better have asked her!” Kendall says. I laugh.
“Yes, she is. So are the guys. I talked to them last night. We’re all coming.” I say.
“Yay, I’m so happy. I’ll tell my mom. Everyone will be so happy to see you!” She says, clapping.
“I’m excited to see you all!” I say. Scarlett points at herself and giggles, “Scarlett is excited to meet you too.” I say, smiling.
“Oh, I am by far excited to meet her.” Kendall says. I repeat that to Scarlett and she smiles widely, nodding. “Okay, well then I’ll call you back later to talk since you’re out with Scar.” Kendall says. Scar! I need to ask if I can call her that!
“Okay, how about I call you instead.” I say. She agrees and hangs up. “Okay, I just remembered to ask you, does anyone have any nicknames for you?” I ask, Scarlett, pushing my phone back into my pocket. She nods.
“Aurora calls me S and my family calls me Scar.” She says, smiling. She looks like she misses her family. Who is Aurora? Sister maybe?
“So I can give you a nickname?” I ask. I wanted to call her Scar but not if anyone else calls her that. She nods. “Who is Aurora?” I ask.
“Aurora is my best friend. She came here with me to do the foreign exchange program too.” She says. I nod.
“Tell me about her.” I say, smiling.
“Well, she’s tall, brunette, and beautiful. All of the guys follow her around.” She smiles, “She very laidback and chill. Kind of like me.” She says. I nod.
“I’d like to meet her.” I say.
“Oh, she’d love to meet you too.” Scarlett says, giggling.
