A Very Harry Diary

“Hello?” I answer, walking down the street towards Scrappy’s.
“Long time, no talk.” Kendall jokes, giggling.
“Hey girlfriend.” I joke back.
“Hi boyfriend. You haven’t talked to me in a while, what’s happening?” She asks. I smile and for the thousandth time, I mentally thank my management for making Kendall my girlfriend to the public. No we don’t really have feelings for each other but we have become very close friends and we look good together to the public.
“I’m actually going to meet a girl.” I tell Kendall.
“Ouch, cheating again?” She asks, laughing. I know she’s referring to Elle but I brush it off. I hear girls talking through her line and I’m guessing that’s her crazy sisters. I smile.
“God, I miss you guys.” I tell her.
“Well, when’s the next time you’re coming to LA?” She asks.
“In a little less than a month.” I tell her.
“Oh, I was going to say that we’re having a Fourth of July party and I was going to invite you.” She tells me. I smile.
“Oh, hell yeah, I’ll see what I can do to be there. Sounds fun!” I say.
“Bring the guys, if you want. No management or anything. Just to have fun.” She says. She always knows what to say.
“Okay, I’ll mention it to them.” I say.
“Okay, so tell me about this girl you’re cheating on me with.” Kendall says, back to joking.
“Her name is Scarlett. She’s beautiful and get this, she takes my mind off of Elle. I called her yesterday and just came out with everything. I asked her to hang out with me at all times so I can be done with Elle and she happily agreed. I don’t know, Ken, she’s different.” I say. I can hear her smiling.
“I’m happy for you, Haz. Have fun with her today and get back to me on the party. Hell, bring her. She’s welcome. I want to meet this girl if she’s so different. Plus, if she’s here with me, the media won’t think it’s weird if she’s with you too. They’ll think she’s a friend. Keep me updated. Love ya, bye.” Kendall say, hanging up quickly. I smile to myself as I see Scarlett ahead of me, waiting for me. She smiles back and I get butterflies.
