A Part of Your World
Lovin' Might be a Mistake but it's Worth Makin'
WHY DIDN'T YOU COME TELL EVERYONE HELLO? -Niall
I know you don't like me, but you could have at least come told me hello. Sheesh. -Louis
I told them you were sleeping. They didn't care. ha :) x - Josh
I smiled as I read the texts from last night. I'd fallen asleep so fast and they'd apparently had a late night party. I was surprised I didn't get a text from Harry though. We were the closest out of the bunch. We'd Skyped, texted, and shared phone conversations while I was home and now all of the sudden he acted like he didn't even care I was here. I was pretty disappointed, but I shrugged it off and figured I'd find him later.
I showered, brushed my teeth, and pulled on an outfit that was similar to the one I'd worn the day before. I grabbed my room key and headed downstairs for continental breakfast.
Niall was selecting donuts from the food display so I went up to him. "Hey stranger!" I bumped my hip against his.
"Hey there little lady!" Niall's eyes lit up and he let out an exaggerated Southern accent, making fun of me. I scoffed and grabbed a banana and a muffin. We found a table and started to catch up.
"Where's Harry been?" I asked with a mouthful of muffin. "He hasn't given me the time of day." I joked.
"Oh, that." Niall munched on an apple. He looked up and pointed. I directed my eyes towards where his finger landed. Harry and some girl were walking out of the elevator.
"Oh." I laughed half-heartedly. "He's been busy, then."
Niall glanced at me as if he didn't know how I was going to react. "You good?"
"Niall, we're not romantically involved. He can see a girl without me getting crazy." I laughed. "Plus, I just got out of a relationship."
"Yeah, yeah. Everyone saw the way you two acted around one another." He tried to continue but I pinched him because Harry was walking up behind him. He took the cue and quit flopping his lips.
"Hi!" Harry smiled at me. "Good to see you!"
"You too." I smiled back.
"This is Camille, my girlfriend." The tall brunette looked me up and down and then nodded in my direction.
"Nice to meet you Camille." She ignored me.
"Harry, let's go get some breakfast somewhere else. This stuff looks like it's days old." Camille whined while pulling on Harry's arm. If I wasn't mistaken, he forced a smile and led her outside to the SUVs.
"How long's that been going on?" I asked Niall.
"Their first date was last night." Niall answered. "By the way, you have muffin all over your face." Niall giggled and I quickly grabbed my napkin.
"Niall! You could have told me that before they came over here!"
"Why? It was funny." He was still laughing.
"Last minute meeting my ass." I grunted.
"What?" Niall looked confused.
"Nothing." I leaned back in my chair, realizing why Harry couldn't meet me at the airport last night.
"When do you have to meet Lou?" He sipped some orange juice, slurping loudly.
"In an hour. She has to go over everything with me and then I get to practice on one of you. Niall, please volunteer as tribute." I made my pouty puppy dog face.
"No." He didn't hesitate.
"Fine." I sighed.
"I'll take that!" A hand came from behind me and swiped my banana. I turned in my chair to see Harry peeling the fruit.
"Hey!" I shouted, reaching for my banana. He was much taller than me, so it was no struggle for him to finish eating the banana while I fought him for it. He laughed and took a seat at the table with Niall and I. "Wait, weren't you going to have a delectable meal with Camille?" I exaggerated my sentence as I looked around for the not-so-pleasant girl.
"You should help us write some of our songs. You just made a rhyme like it was nothing!" Niall laughed, pretty hard.
"No. No way. She's a pain in the arse." Harry ran his fingers through his curls, and my stomach felt a little funny.
"That's not a nice thing to say about your woman." I joked.
"That's not funny. This is going to be the most miserable two months of my life." Harry leaned his chair back onto two legs.
I punched Niall in the arm. "What was that for?!" He yelped, grabbing his bicep.
"You didn't mention that this was for publicity!" I made a face at Niall and he just shrugged his shoulders, giggling.
"You really think I'd be with someone like that? I'm hurt!" Harry held his chest, like his heart hurt.
"You never know with you celebrities." I rolled my eyes.
"Her dad is high up in the Modest! world and she's an aspiring model. So they're having me "date" her for a few months so that she can land a few jobs." Harry was the one to roll his eyes this time.
Something in me relaxed at the sound of that and then I became worried. Was I that desperate or did I just miss Connor? I pushed the thoughts out of my mind and joked around with Harry and Niall.
After awhile of conversation, Louis, Zayn, Liam, Paul, and Josh came out of the elevator. Everyone greeted me with hugs and smiles. Josh's lingering hand on my lower back caught my attention, but it also caught Harry's. Harry furrowed his brow as we all made our way to the SUVs to head the arena. Josh kept his hand on my back, and hurried me through the crowd of fans. He pulled me into his SUV, instead of my usual seat with the boys. I didn't mind too much, because there would be less fans bothering us. The only thing that did keep my mind going was the way Harry looked at Josh - while Josh had his hands on me - like he could kill him.

I came across this story and really like it. Any plans to update it in the future?
