Just How Fast The Night Changes

“Welcome to class everyone” the teacher started. I zoned off as I usually did and thought about how more days or senior year I had left. I had 107 more days left. I’ve been counting it down by the minuets.

I noticed the teacher stopped talking and everyone was up and moving around
“I guess you’re going to be my lab partner” Please tell me this boy is just lost and I don’t actually have to work with him.

Although he was pretty cute with his hair styled into a blonde quiff and crystal clear blue eyes. What are you saying, snap out of it Alice!

“So we mix twelve milliliters of sodium oxide with two grams of potassium” Niall said
“Um I’m not sure that’s right, it should be four grams not two” I stated matter of factly.

We continued with this argument for a little over three minutes.
“Ugh boys are so stupid” I huffed out in frustration. Did I just say that outloud?
“We are not!” I’ll take that for a yes.

“You are too and girls can do anything you can do, and they’ll do a better job at it. Now just pour in the potassium!” I told him. I then watched in horror as he dropped in the wrong amount and both our jaws dropped as we watched it react and blow up.

Lucky we had on goggles and an apron but our mouths were a less fortunate.

“Gross that stuff tastes nasty” he said and pretended to gag. Is that all he’s concerned about, what about the mess he’s made or the fact that we are going to fail now.

I internally screamed, grabbed the bathroom pass and stormed out of the room. When I made it to the bathroom I fixed my hair, pulled out my phone and texted my mom to pick me up early.

She replied almost immediately, and told me she was on her way. The bell rang and I headed to my next class. As soon as I sat down I was called down to the office for early dismissal.

I really had the best mom in the whole world.

The ride home was quiet but not in an awkward kind of way but the good kind of quiet, as she didn't question me. Once we got to the house I kicked my grey converse off at the door and made my way up stairs to my room.

I usually kept my room fairly tidy and my bed made. My bed was pressed into the far corner of my room and fairy lights bordered my walls. I modeled it off of one I saw on tumblr and I have to say it turned out pretty nice.

I drew a bath and decided to use my bath bomb that I had been saving. It smelled like roses and made the water a pink hue.

I relaxed and thought about all my upcoming events. Prom wasn’t to far away. I had been asked by the boy of my dreams, Harry.

He had a mop of cute yet sexy brown curls and emerald eyes. Me and my mom were going to go shopping for a dress this weekend.

I know I wanted it to be full length and the color blue looked good on me but other than that I had no idea how my dress would look like.

I also had some big exams coming up but I wasn’t worried I always do fine on tests. After a while the water had started to turn cold.

So I let the water drain as I brushed through my soft blonde hair. I put on my soft footie pajamas and climbed into bed and turned out the light.
