IMPRINT

About 2 hours after Luke and I finished our research, we land in Perth. There's a big crowd of fans waiting outside of the airport, so we're surrounded by security guards as we step out of the airport. Luke grabs my hand and starts leading me through the crowd.

"Just keep you're head tilted a bit," Luke instructs me as we swim through the crowd. "And follow security."

He lets go of my hand and starts to give out autographs and take pictures. I, on the other hand, awkwardly walk by the security guards as we head towards the limo.

It isn't long before the fans notice me and my mum. They start shouting a variety of things.

"GUYS, LOOK, IT'S QUEEN JANET!"

"WE LOVE YOU, JANET!"

"WHO'S THE GIRL BEHIND HER? IS THAT HER DAUGHTER?"

"IT IS! GOD, SHE'S GORGEOUS!"

The final comment made my heart flutter a bit. I've never really been called gorgeous, let alone any other term for "good-looking", so the compliment was quite nice.

As I slowly continued through the crowd (it was quite big), a fan with brown hair and blue highlights grabs my arm.

"What's your name?" She asks above the screams.

"It's Jade," I reply.

"Pretty!" The fan says before yelling, "HER NAME'S JADE!" to the people around her.

A few minutes later, we're safely in taxi cabs and on our way to the next hotel.

"I think they liked us, what about you, 'Queen Janet'?" I ask my mothe

"I think they did too." Mom responds, smiling. "They're pretty amazing, aren't they?"

"Indeed they are," I say. "They're...unique. Like, not one of them was the same."

"They're positive role models for self-esteem, in my opinion." Mom replies.

We continue our conversation about the fans until we arrive at the hotel. We follow the same procedure as last time, two suites on the top floor. One for us and the guys, the other for the rest of the crew.

The arrangements in the room were also the same. Everyone was with the person they were with before. After we decided on rooms, everyone went to put their stuff down.

"We have a soundcheck soon, so I suggest we tell your mum before hand." Says Luke after we enter our room.

"Good idea," I say in reply.

"We're leaving now, I think, so we can unpack later." Luke replies, heading back for the door.

"Wait," I say, following him. I stand on my tip-toes and peck him on the lips. "Now we may go."

Surely enough, the guys were already shuffling out the door when we exited our room.

"Hey mom, can I see you for a minute?" I ask.

"Sure thing hun," Mom answers, handing a few things to Louis before he leaves.

The final person leaves and the door shuts.

"What's up?" Mum asks me and Luke.

"Well," Luke mutters, looking my way.


"Mom, we think that some imprinting happened between us."
