The Misfits

Chapter 12

"Thalia."

I groaned and turned in my side, nestling against Harry's warm body.

"Tootles wake up," he whispered again, brushing the hair out of my face.

We were laying in bed, not quite sure whose bed though, with our legs intertwined and his arm wrapped around me. I snuggled down further, inhaling his scent and feeling giddy with happiness. I had slept with Harry Styles. Harry fucking Styles. Holy shit.

"Come on love, Louis' already been to the door twice."

"Shit." My head snapped up and I was met with his bright green eyes and a smirk. He let out a laugh kissed my forehead.

"Relax. I locked the door all he did was yell, he didn't see anything."

"But he probably knows. And he'll totally tell my dad thinking it would be funny! Oh no and then he would come after you and-"

He silenced me with a kiss. "You're dads not gonna find out. Lou wouldn't say anything even if he did know, which he probably doesn't by the way."

"But-"

"Thalia. Stop worrying. It'll be fine."

I let out a sigh as Harry watched me, a smirk playing on those lovely lips of his. I couldn't help but break into a smile and was then rewarded with a kiss. "Come on, we should probably get up before we end up in here all day."

"I would be okay with that," I whispered.

"As would I," he said gently running his thumb across my cheek, "but then they would definitely know something was up."

"Race ya!" I said jumping up and grabbing my clothes. It took a moment for him to realize what was happening before he quickly snatched up his clothes. I had taken his t-shirt since it was the only piece of clothing in the room besides the clothes I wore clubbing.

"Oi! You little cheat!" Harry grabbed my hips and threw me back on the bed. I let out a squeal and his tickling turned into kisses. "You. Stole. My. Shirt."

"Finders keepers!" I laughed, making a break for the door. I ran down the hallway, having no clue where I was going in this maze of a mansion, until I ended up in the living room with the others staring at me.

"TOOTLES." Harry's voice rang through the hall as he sung my name.

"Help!" I whispered running over and hiding behind Niall and Mackenzie on the couch. They all frowned at my behavior.

"What the hell Lil's?" Niall laughed.

Louis frowned and added, "Why are you in your knickers?"

"Because there weren't any clothes in the bedroom! So I stole-"

"Thal look out!" Cried Mackenzie. I turned in time to let out a squeal as Harry grabbed me and began pinching my sides.

"Stop! Stop! Ah!" I yelled, trying to escape. But he wrapped his arms around me so I couldn’t escape and gave me a big bear hug.

"Niall you are a horrible watch dog." I pouted.

"I'm not a dog!" He cried out, causing us all to laugh. I was able to shrug Harry off and join the others on the couch. They were playing FIFA of course.

"Why the hell did you lock the door Harold?" Louis asked. Shit. He knew. I looked over at Harry with a frown as Louis continued; "we've been trying to wake you two up all fucking morning."

"Exactly what I was trying to avoid, you know being tackled isn't the nicest way to start the day," he replied. Louis burst into a laugh.

"You mean you don't like being used as a human trampoline?"

"Not particularly." We all let out laughs and I heard my phone go off. It was a text from my dad asking when we would be home. Harry frowned and grabbed my phone from my hands, "what happened?"

"Her ghetto ass phone," giggled Niall. I hadn’t had time to replace it after Calhan had shattered the screen. I had been hiding it pretty well, knowing that when the boys or my dad found out they would be furious.

"This is what happens when you butt into other people's conversations Harold," I replied. He frowned, trying to put it together.

"Calhan. He was aiming for her head," snorted Maeve, connecting the dots for him.

"What?" The boys screamed. Everyone froze and turned to me.

"He missed." My smiled faltered at the look on their faces. They already didn't like him because of what my dad had told them, and now I was positive they hated him.

"The night I picked you up?" Niall asked? I nodded and his jaw clenched. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I'm not looking for trouble. It's fine. I'm fine. Do not tell my dad."

"Why? I hope he goes and pummels that twat," spat Louis.

"Louis don't," I hissed.

"Don't worry Lou, our friend Nate already got him back," smirked Maeve. I closed my eyes and let out a groan. This is why I hadn’t wanted to tell anyone, so much unnecessary drama was coming form this. The boys went back to their conversation, satisfied that Calhan had paid for his crime in a small way. But Harry remained quiet next to me.

"Harry it's fine." I said quietly, reaching down and taking his hand in mine.

"It was what I had said wasn't it?" He whispered. "Why didn't you tell me? Thalia-"

"I handled it Harry." Well technically Maeve handled it, but point is it was taken care of. Harry didn't look convinced, in fact, he looked wounded. "I didn't want you getting in any trouble. It's fine. It really is, I promise. Please smile?"

I gave him my best puppy eyes and he broke into a smile before he could help himself. I beamed and turned back to the conversation, my hand still intertwined with his.

How are ya girls gettin' home?" Niall asked, turning to Mackenzie. She was sitting cross-legged next him with her leg resting on his lap while he had his arm draped around her leg as he held the controller. I felt Harry give my hand a squeeze and I knew he had noticed their position as well. At least everyone's focus would be on them rather than Harry and I.

"Train," Mackenzie answered with a smile. Niall opened his mouth to say something but Elaine beat him to it.

"We already have the tickets, don't even think about it," she smirked. Niall scowled and I couldn't help but let out a laugh.

"We don't get to see the family again?" Harry pouted.

"I never even got to meet them!" Cried Louis, sitting back and folding his arms as Eleanor patted his shoulder.

"You can meet them when they come visit us, right Thalia?"

"What!" I cried turning to Harry. "You guys were serious about that?"

"Of course!" He frowned.

"We promised the lads we'd play football!"

"Who plays football?" Louis asked, suddenly very interested.

"Jasper and Hugh," Mackenzie answered proudly. "They’re the best in the city."

"Lou's on a team," Niall informed us as Louis raised his eyes impressed. "They should come to a practice.”

Maeve snorted, "You'd all seriously ship them down here for a practice?"

"Why not?" Harry shrugged. "They could stay at mine. I hardly use the house there's plenty of room. We could show them the city."

I stared at him. He was planning. The boys were completely serious about this, and I knew they were going to make it happen. They were their break from tour, and were used to always moving and planning, sitting indoors with nothing to do all day was driving them insane. So why not invite a family of strangers into their home? I caught Elaine's eye and I could tell she was thinking the same thing.

"This is ridiculous!" Elaine nearly laughed. "There's no way Miss Lucy and Miss Irene could take off work to come down here. We couldn't afford-"

"It'd be our treat," Harry replied. Elaine, Maeve, Mackenzie and I stared at him open-mouthed.

"Aw I think it's a wonderful idea!" Bounced Eleanor clapping her hands together. The boys started throwing out dates, but I couldn’t bring myself to contribute to this crazy conversation.

-

The girls had been gone less than two hours and I was already bored out of my mind. The boys had an interview today, my dad was off protecting them and since the fight with Calhan I hadn’t seen much of my friends from University either. Everyone I knew in the city was friends with him, which made for an awkward situation, my other friends were all home working or with their families.

Maybe I would get a job. The restaurant I worked at during the school year wasn’t usually as busy during the summer months, though I’m sure they would still give me a few hours if I said I was in town.

I quickly sent a text to the manager before resuming my scroll through the television channels, searching for anything remotely interesting. I never really liked television that much; growing up I rarely got the chance to watch it. Instead Aunt Lucy would challenge is to find other ways to entertain ourselves. That's where I found my love of drawing. Maeve and I could sit for hours doodling, coloring, and drawing anything we laid our eyes on.

I turned off the television and ran upstairs to my bedroom and began searching for the sketchbook. What with the girls visiting and One Direction’s spontaneous schedule I had hardly had time to even open my sketchbook these past few weeks. I returned to my seat on the couch before cracking it open and immediately feeling a sense of comfort wash over me. Odd how a book can make you feel that way.

Now, what to draw? I had finished the lion for Zayn ages ago. I plugged my headphones in and began drawing the first random thought that came to mind.

"Lia!"

I jumped and yanked my headphones out of my ear as my dad entered the room. He looked exhausted.

"Afternoon," I said, returning to my drawing.

"Afternoon? Lia it's almost seven o' clock! How long have ya been sittin' there?" He laughed. I frowned and looked at my phone. He was right. “What are ya drawin’?”

I handed him the sketchbook and he began flipping through it slowly, letting out a low whistle as he did. I had taken inspiration from the animal planet channel that was still playing in the background, and drawn a few reptiles. He flipped another page and frowned before holding it up to me.

“Now, these faces look a bit familiar.”

I shot him a glare before snatching my sketchbook. He had found the sketches I had started of the boys. “I draw all of my friends.”

“I thought fer a minute ya was turnin’ inter one o’ those die hard fans,” he said with a chuckle.

“And if I was?” I mused. He raised an eyebrow in response. “Don’t worry, I would never give it to them. Drawing people helps me get to know them better.”

“Well yer damn good at it,” he smiled. “Ya hungry?”

“Yes please!” I jumped up and followed him into the kitchen. We quickly whipped up a meal chatting all the while about what we had been up to. This was my favorite part of the day. My mother or I had always come home too late to catch each other up on how our days went, usually I only saw her in the mornings before work. But I quite liked this routine I had with my father, and for once I felt normal.

How could I ever leave my fave 1D writer

@nata
Thank you! I was a bit unsure about this chapter, but I'm glad you liked it as well. It was really hard ending it.

@samie_horan
I'm working on the sequel as we speak! (or would it be type?) I've just been perfecting the plot - though I have a feeling you might all hate me...guess we'll just have to see. I'll post it soon I promise!

@Extraordinary Dreamer
I didn't want it to end either - which is why I dragged it out so long! I've fallen in love with my characters and just can't seem to let them go. Also thank you so much for sticking with me through to the end, I know you've been here from the start and you have no idea how much that means to me!!
