“MOM! Zack hit me!” Lisa runs into the living room with tears staining her face. Chase and I simultaneously sigh and unwind from each other and stand off the couch.. we were supposed to be watching a movie
“Zack why did you hit Lisa?” Chase asks in a calm way, while I comfort Lisa
“She is stupid.” My 5 year old son says shrugging “She keeps acting like she is better than me. When she isn’t.” Zack says glaring at his twin, he always had a mature mentality and never took anyones crap. He is a mama’s boy.
“Lisa. You can’t act big headed like that.” Chase scolds “And Zack you can not hit her, even if she is acting out of line.” Chase says again
We are interrupted by a bang upstairs. Not again…
“Zack...Is someone in Ashton’s room?” I ask knowing he would instantly tell me.
“I got paid 20 bucks for my silence.” He smirks and my eyes widen.
“ASHTON.” Chase’s voice booms as he hurries upstairs.

And that is where our life stands. With two five year olds, a beautiful marriage.
Chase is the CEO of his own business firm called “Andrews”. My dad and I haven’t talked since the birth of Ashton and I no longer have contact with my mother after having falling out over me dropping out of college. Yes, you read that right. I dropped out and started to be a full time mom. Ashton is 16 now almost 17 and is very...troubled. (But you will learn all about that in the next book.)
Ashton loved music. Singing, Dancing, and became a musical prodigy by the time she was 10. Last year...everything changed. She quit music and rarely leaves her room, or talks to us.
It hurts to see her this upset.
