Fast, Fierce, and Feisty

“he hates me.” I whimper after calming down a bit
“No. He hates that he wasn’t more strict with you living with Chase. But I understand. Y’know I had Dylan when I was 17.” My mom chirps “It was hell for your father and I but we made it.” my mom confesses
“What? Really?” I ask feeling a bit better than before
“Yes. but we were together for 5 years before that Esmee. You’ve known chase for way less.” She says softly “I’m here to support you two though. Chase, as a mother figure I am saying this. You’re not going to leave. Or walk out when things get hard. You’re not a boy anymore now that you have this child. You are a father. And you will be great at it.” My mother pats his cheek
“You have my word.” He says not making eye contact with him, but with me and Ashton.My heart beats quickly every time he looks at me like that.
“I love you.” I tell her and she smiles lightly
“I love you too baby. NOW. How did your parents take the news?” my mom asks Chase. We were interrupted by Chase’s parents barging into the room with Mcdonald's and Lily.
“Where is my grandchild!?” Chase’s mom smiles widely and smiles even wider seeing my mother. “Hello! It’s nice to see you.” They hug and greet each other. I look down and see Lily looking at Chase with wide eyes.
“You had a baby!?” She shrieks excitedly and I chuckle as she bounces around CHase trying to get a glimpse of Ashton. Chase holds the baby out of reach protectively and hushes her making her frown.
“Stop it Lily You need to be quiet. She’s sleeping!” He snaps at her
“But bubu!” Whines Lily and I giggle at the nick name she calls him
“Chase let Lily see Ashton.” I say smiling
“Who is Ashton?” Lily asks
“Thats the babies name stupid.” Chase rolls his eyes and Lily frowns. They have a very interesting relationship…
“You’re mean. Let me see the baby.” She says frustrated
“Fine.” He rolls his eyes again. He struggles to make Lily calm down after seeing Ashton. Lly wouldn’t shut up about being a “big sister” I was NOT going to ruin her childhood explaining how family works.
“You’re her aunt.” Chase says
“Aunt? Like Aunt Lucy?” She asks confused
“Yes.” Chase says softly
“Oh. Can I still be her big sister?” She wonders
“Of course.” He chuckles
They were on the couch across the room. Lily was holding the baby while Chase hold her. It was cute as fuck.
Tear suddenly well up in my eyes and my mom looks at me concerned
“Honny? What’s wrong?” She asks panicked. Chase’s head snaps up concerned and I smile at them chuckling as tears fall slowly
“Nothing. I’m just in shock I guess.” I say “This is crazy… I can’t wait for everything to fall into place.” I mumble happily
