Welcome Home
Chapter 6
When we walked into the hotel, my breath was taken away. It was beautiful and huge. Gorgeous chandeliers hung all over. The ceiling was six stories high, and there were balconys on every floor across each side. Everything looked so expensive, I felt that if I touched it I would break something.
Sarah checked us in, while I gawked at everything. She wasn't as impressed, seeing as how she comes from a wealthy family. Her parents were paying for the hotel and anything else we needed. We walked to the large glass elevator and stepped in. It took us all the way up to floor six, the one we were staying on. Sarah paid her way up there just for me, because I like being up high. Sarah has a small fear of heights. But I love being up high, especially when I'm outside. I feel like it's easier to breathe. Sarah always freaks out when I beg her to go on roller coasters, another fear. Mainly because of the height though.
So we rode the elevator to the sixth floor, and searched te halls for room 613. When we walked in, my breathe was taken away again. Te room was huge with two queen sized beds, two bathrooms, two walk in closets, and a storage closet. The room had a cool feel to the air, most likely from the air conditioner vent. It felt fresh, smelled fresh, the way a hotel should.
"Oh. My. Gosh. Sarah this is amazing." I say. Sarah smiles at me. I had never been anywhere this nice, besides the church at my parents funeral. But that wasn't even this nice.
"Wait till you see the balcony." She says, leading me towards a pair of large double doors. They had a glass crystal patters. We walked outside, and I took in a fresh breathe of cold, evening air. The balcony was big, with two wood woven chairs and a glass center table. Bright golden lights wrapped around the rail of the balcony. But te best thing was the view. It was absolutely extrodinary. A few rows of buildings with lights were there. Behind those, was a large lake. The iChat from the buildings reflect off the soft waves, leaving the waterhole among with sparkles. It looked perfect.
"This is so beautiful." I said in awe. I had never seen something like this in real life. One time, my dad took me to a lake to watch te sunrise. It was beautiful, but I only went once. Now I feel those memories coming back, and it gives me a warm feeling in my stomach.
We came back in after a couple minutes and unpacked our things. We looked around and settled onto to our beds. I glanced at the clock, which read 6:15 pm. We had over an hour before we had to leave, since the arena for the concert was only 20 minutes away, and the concert began at 8. We decided to go to the pool, since we didn't really have anything else to do.
I put on my purple bikini, which was slightly revealing, but I'm 18, so it's allowed. Sarah wore an orange float one, which was my favorite on her. We headed down for the pool. I mainly like the hot tubs, but Sarah was a huge swimmer. Last year she won state for our school team.
When we walked in, a few people glanced our way, but their eyes left us eventually. It was a group of three boys in the corner that kept their attention on us. They looked us up and down, completely checking us out. I have to admit, they weren't bad looking, but I was not in the mood for any relationship right now. Not after Josh.
We went to a table and put out bags down. We sat for a while and went on our phones, chchecking our social media. I shot Eleanor a text saying we were at the hotel and couldn't wait for the concert. She replied saying she couldn't wait, and if we weren't busy we should hang out.
"OH MY GOD!" I yelled. All eyes were on me as my cheeks flushed with red. Sarah was laughing at me.
"What?" She asked, giggling. I shoved my phone in her face and showed her the text. She looked up at me with her jaw dropped and eyes wide.
"No frikin way." She said. We both freaked out for a minute, and got ourselves together eventually. Now I really couldn't wait.
As I set my phone down, i looked back towards the corner. All three boys were still staring at us.
"Are you seeing this?" I asked Sarah, gesturing towards the guys. She liked up and rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, I noticed earlier. What the hell is their problem." She stared at then with a dirty look. They whispered something to each other and Burt out laughing. Now I was pissed. They were clearly making fun of us, and I hated them. Before I knew what I was doing, I started walking towards them until I was right in front of the blonde one in the middle.
"If you have a problem with us, stop being pussies and say whatever you want to our faces." I yell in his face. He looked shocked and amused all at once. I couldn't help but notice how hot he was, especially when his shirt was off and he was VERY toned isle you know what I mean. But I was angry, so I ignored it.
"Aw babe, don't get angry. Didn't like the attention?" He asked innocently. I started laughing, which confused them.
"Babe? Ha, not In a million years. And I appreciate attention, I don't appreciate someone making fun of my friend and I." I said confidently. I was never really afraid to stick up for myself, so I wasn't afraid of these pricks either.
"Wow, I love it when their feisty." One of the other boys said. He snickered with his stupid friends. By now Sarah was here, and she was taking care of him. And then, the weirdest thing happened. The blonde stepped away, and a new boy with dark hair and dark brown eyes took his place. He had an evil look in his eyes, and I found it uncomfortable.
"Who the hell are y-" I started to say. But my word was cut off by his lips crashing into mine.
