Welcome Home

"Happy Birthday dear Destiny! Happy Birthday to you!" My aunt Carrie and bestfriend Sarah finish singing my song as a huge cake plops down in front if me.

"Make a wish loser" Sarah sneers.

Sarah has been my best friend since I was 10. When my parents died, she was my biggest supporter besides Carrie.

"I wish you were in a black hole." I smirk at her. We both laugh as I blow out the candles.

"What was your wish?" Aunt Carrie asks me.

"I can't tell you! That's against the rules" I smile at her. She rolls her eyes and get the presents from the counter. She brings over three small wrapped things. I already think it's too much, considering we are very tight in money.

"Open mine first!" Sarah puts a small box in front of me. I slowly unrap the paper and reveal a taped cardboard box. I cut the tape open to find a smaller plastic box.

"Really?" I question Sarah, laughing with her.

"Alright, this is the last one!" She tells me.

I open the small plastic box. Something small and shiny is covered with bubble wrap. I carefully unwrap it and let a small gasp esescape my lips.

"Oh my god, Sarah. I love it." A silent tear falls down my cheek.

"I thought you would" She smiles to me. I glance at Carrie to see her tears as well. A small necklace that has a lock on the side is in my hands. When I open the locket, four pictures are revealed inside. One of Carrie, my mother, father, and myself. Below it is Carrie and me. An on the right side, two more pictures. One of me and my father, and one of me and my mother.

"Thank you." I whisper.

"Your welcome. But seriously, lets get to these other presents so I can eat all your cake!" I laugh at Sarah's huge appetite. Carrie isn't crying anymore, so I start on her gifts.

I get two gift cards, and a blue sweater. I thank Carrie and begin to get up when she stops me.

"Hold on, we have one more thing for you." Her and Sarah share a look that I find extremely suspicious. They seem very excited. Carrie brings me a rectangular shaped light present. She hand it to me and I begin unwrapping. Her and Sarag can hardly contain themselves. As I open it, I see a slip of colored paper. I lift it up, and I can't believe my eyes.

"AHHHHHHHH OH MY GOD OH MY FREAKING GOD!" I scream at the top of lungs. Sarah and Carrie laugh and jump around excitedly.

"How in the world did you get this?" I ask excitedly.

"We won an online contest and I got one too!" Sarah screams just like me.

"WE'RE GOING TO A ONE DIRECTION CONCERT" And I cannot even stay in my seat, so I jump around with them, not even attempting to contain myself.

This is the best birthday I've ever had in my entire freaking life.

"Do you wanna know the best part?" Sarah asks me.

"Oh my god what could be better than this???" I'm literally shaking with excitement.

"Not only are we in front row, but...WE GET TO MEET THE BAND!" She screams!

Oh my god. Oh my god. OH MY GOD. This is the best birthday ever.
