Welcome Home

"Destiny!" I hear something slamming next to my ear. I lift my head to see a large textbook next to my face. I fell asleep in class, like usual.

"What the hell Mr. Morris." I say groggily, cranky that I was awoken from my peaceful slumber.

"Watch your language young lad-" He is cut off by loud ringing.

Saved by the bell, I think to myself.

i get out to the parking lot, searching for my car. Today is a special day, I'm turning 18. My aunt (who I live with) told me she had a special surprise for me tonight. I was so confused, but had to get to school, so I left it alone.

When I reach my car, a couple is pressed against my door, making out and grabbing each other.

"Excuse me." I mumble. They simply flip around, leaning against a different car. Classy. When he reaches in her pants, I look away and climb info my little black car. "Get a freaking room" I mutter under my breath.

The ride home is nice. I turn the radio up and sing my heart out to my favorite band, One Direction. But I still can't stop thinking about my aunts little "surprise".

"I'm home!" I yell as I open the creaky old door to my house. I throw my keys on a table and hang my coat.

"Hi, how was school sweetie?" My Aunt Carrie walks into te living room.

ive lived with Carie since I was 12. My parents died In a car accident 6 years ago, so Carrie took me in.

"Good, how was your day?" I ask her.

"Lovely, I had a lot of tips!" She says. She a waitress at a local restraint in town.

When I first moved in with Carrie and George, I was a bit depressed about my parents, but I loved my aunt and uncle. About four years ago, when I was 14, my uncle got really drunk one night. He took his anger out on me, and beat me until I was unconcious. Carrie walked in on it and immediately filed a divorce.

"Cool. So about that surprise you mentioned this morning..?" I eased my way into the conversation that I was way to curious about. It was probably that she got my favorite cupcakes or something.

"You have to wait for tonight!" She said.

"Ugh, nooo." I pleaded.

"I can't believe your 18 today!" She said.

"Don't remind me." I plopped down onto the couch.

"I can't wait for tonight!" She excaimed. She ran out if the room with a hug grin on her face.

What the hell was that woman up to?
