Terrible Things

"I had fun tonight." I said. At my door.
"Me too." Dylan said with a smile. "we will do it again soon ya?" He asked. I nodded. "Great." He gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"I'll see you at school tomorrow." I said.
"be safe looks like a storm is coming." He said. Just then it began to rain. Great. "I will drive safe." I said. I opened my door and instantly ran upstairs. Please stop raining. my mom isn't home of course and she is the only one who knows what to do. In case of something. I opened my door.
"Fucking shit louis I was gone for like 2 hours why are you still here." I said nervously.
"I don't know I wanted to stay." He smiled.
"Well I think you could go home." I said. I heard the rain began to come down herder. I looked out my window not happy with what I was seeing. Louis looked at me confused. Suddenly there was a huge boom. Thunder. I let out a loud shriek. I ran I to the bathroom locking the door. No no no. Anything but thunder. Another boom. Another scream. I began to cry.
"Charlette what wrong?" I heard louis say through the door.
i knew what was coming. I began to breathe heavy. The tears wouldn't stop. The thunder boomed louder. I put my hands over my ears.
"Charlette what the hell is wrong open the door so help me I will fucking knock it down!" He yelled. No no one can see me like this. The feeling was building up as the thunder was booming. It felt like my lungs were closing in. A panic attack. I let out a scream. I used to have these episodes all the time after my dad died. I heard a loud crack. Before I could do anything louis was at my side. The thunder boomed again. It look all my strength to wrap myself around him. The tears would t stop. I let go and began to pant. As if I was running out of air.
"Charlie please let me help." He said as he held me. The thu see cracked again. I let out a whimper.
"Second drawer. The pills are mine. Run the shower." I said through all the crying. I once again put my hands over my ears. He handed me the pills I took two. And climbed into the shower. Letting the water run but it wasn't working. Next thing I knew louis was holding me in the water.
"Charlie. Please calm down." He said. This only made me huff and puff more. Before I could do anything his lips were on mine. And in that moment I was completely and utterly calm. The sound of the thunder has stopped and my breathing was now normal. He pulled away and looked me in the eye.
"Don't scare me like that." He said.
"Why do you care?" I snapped, I have known him for like a week.
"It may seem hard to believe but I do care about my friends." He said. "Now you have some explaining to do." He said helping me out of the shower. I changed into some sweats and a tshirt. Louis just took off his shirt and he had his gym shorts in his bag. i took a deep breathe.
"When I was eleven my mom dad and I were driving to see my aunt. Well it was a dark rainy night. We were just driving. Thunder began to boom around us. Suddenly out of nowhere a lightning bolt struck the road in front of us. My dad began to swerve. All o can remember is screaming crying and the thunder. Now every time I hear thunder I get these flashbacks and ever since then I get these panic attacks and I have to take anxiety meds for it. After my dad died I was never the same. My anxiety pills also act as anti depressants, as for my mother she sleeps around and her company has skyrocketed giving us the money but that means she's never home. And that's why you whitenessed what you just did. I hope no one ever had to see me in such a weak state." I breathed dropping my head down now looking at my hands.
"My father gave me up as a child I went from foster home to foster home, but in time everything was better and everything will get better I promise.." He said putting his index finger under my chin so I was now looking at him.
"If you ever feel this way or you feel like you need someone I'm hear for you." He said and kissed my forehead. I nodded whipping the last tears from my face.
"I think you need some sleep now." He said. He started t get up.
"Please stay, what if the thunder comes back." I said yawning.
"Fine only for tonight Charlette." He said.
"Don't call me that." I said barely awake. "My father gave me that name and he didn't like Charlie and always called me my my full name Charlette rose. It just a hurts knowing he's gone." I said in almost a whisper finally falling asleep.

i woke up with a body draped over me. Remembering last night put a smile on my face how he was there for me. I checked the clock. shit! It's 11:00 I started getting up before louis pulled me back down.
"You need your sleep." He mumbled. I wasn't complaining. I snuggled my way next to him. i started playing with his hair.
"That feels nice. " I let out a giggle.
"we will talk more later louis. Thank you." I have a kiss on the forehead
