Where Do Broken Hearts Go (Sequel to You and I)

Niall's POV

I closed the door behind Connie. I don't even know why I'm still smiling. Do I still like her? Of course not, right? I don't know. I let out a deep sigh.

Connie's POV

It was pretty late when I got home from hanging out with the boys and the girls. Everyone in my house was already sleeping and I walked upstairs to get ready for bed. I couldn't wait to just crash on my bed. However, when I was just about to sleep, my mind was overwhelmed with so many thoughts.

I had a great time with Niall tonight. Today reminded me of when we used to date and we would have random conversations like these for the whole night. It's surprising to see how much has changed for the both of us in one year. Evan and I started to date. We've been best friends for a long time, so I know I can trust him. He's such a sweet, caring and loving person that I'm happy to be with him. I was eventually getting really tired and fell into a deep sleep.

The next morning, I woke up bright and early. Oh yeah, I changed my habits. I'm a morning person now. I got up and I realized I wasn't doing anything today, which means I don't have to look decent! I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth and rinse my face. I quickly ran down the stairs and got some breakfast. I guess nobody was home because no one was in the kitchen. I sat in front of the television while eating my bowl of cereal and banana. I was just catching up on Suits on Netflix when suddenly, someone rang the doorbell.

I looked confused as I got up and opened the door. It was Evan.

"Evan! Why did you not tell me you were coming?! I look ugly!" I said as I tried to cover my face.

"You look beautiful, babe." Evan said as he wrapped his arms around my waist and smiling.

"You're funny, but okay. But really, why are you here so early?" I asked.

"I just want to spend some time with my favourite girl, is that too much to ask for?" He said as he laughed.

"No, of course not, because you're my favourite too." I sad as I smiled.

"Favourite what? Favourite girl?" He asked while pretending to be offended.

"Favourite guy." I said as I laughed.

Evan kissed my forehead and we headed to my living room. We were just watching Suits. I just made some popcorn, so we were just munching on that for a while. When we finished watching, we just sat on the couch in each others arms talking.

"Hey, do you want to hang out tomorrow again, Evan?" I asked.

"Didn't I tell you?" Evan said.

"Tell me what?" I asked, confused.

"My parents and I are going to Buffalo for the night." He said.

"Oh, lucky! You get to do a lot of shopping. Well, have fun!" I said as I laughed.

Evan smiled.

Today was a relaxing day, Evan and I hung out at my house for the entire afternoon. When it was time for him to go, I kissed him on the lips and told me to have fun tomorrow.

It was around six in the evening time, my parents and my sister just got home. We were all preparing food together for dinner. When we sat at the dinner table, we just talked about how our day was.

"What did you do all day Connie?" My mom asked.

"Evan came over and hung out, that's pretty much it." I said.

"Evan is such a sweet person, you should've asked him to stay for dinner." My mom said.

"He's waking up early to go to buffalo tomorrow, so I wanted him to rest and he had to do a bit of packing even if it was just a one night trip." I said.

"You really like him, don't you?" My sister asked.

I thought about it and smiled.

"I believe I do." I said.

I continued to eat my food.
