SURPRISE! This is the first chapter of "Where Do Broken Hearts Go". As you guys may know, this is a sequel to "You and I".

Niall and Connie had ended off on a bad note. Niall felt that he couldn't be the boyfriend for her. It has been a year since they broke up and let me tell you, a lot can happen in a year.

A lot of you guys have been waiting and I didn't want to keep you guys waiting any longer! I don't know when I'll post the next chapter because I have exams this whole week! I'm going to be super busy with studying. But have patience my fellow directioners :)

Connie’s POV

I woke up to the sound my alarm. It was around 8:30 in the morning and I did not want to get up to go to one of my lectures in thirty minutes. I rolled to the other side of the bed and didn't see Bernice in her bed. Right, she was an morning person and I was clearly not. Bernice and I were both attending university right now and we were living on residence together.

I'm glad that we didn't have to go through the tears and goodbyes of departing our separate ways to different universities. I finally had the strength to get out of bed and head to the washroom. I brushed my teeth and washed my face. When I was done, I went to change out of my pajamas. I decided today that I was going to wear black leggings, over-sized cardigan with a black tank and an aztec printed scarf since it was the winter time.

I got my books and my backpack and headed out the door. The walk from my class wasn't too far and possibly, only a ten minute walk. This was one of the last classes I had before exam started. I'm just excited to get exams over with because then it will be winter break and Christmas!

I made it to my class with enough time to place my stuff down and go on my phone. Usually, I just scrolled through my Twitter and Instagram to see what was happening. The usual tweets where people complained about school, living the single life or were really bored. As well, the usual Instagram photos of girls posting pictures of their Starbucks or their food.

I had to put my phone away soon after because the class was about to start. The whole time I wasn't really paying much attention. I sort of dozed off sometimes and started doodling in my notebook.

I was so relieved when the class ended. I headed back to my dorm room and there, I saw Bernice. She was at her desk studying for her exams.

"Hey Connie!" She said.

"Hey Bernice. Want to grab some food? I'm sort of hungry." I said.

"You are always hungry! But yeah, sure. I'm kind of hungry too and I feel like I need a break for studying for exams." She said.

We both walked downstairs to the cafeteria. Bernice had gotten a salad with water and I had gotten pizza with french fries on the side. Yes, I'm the most healthiest person in the world.

We both found a place to sit down and ate our food.

"Are you worried about your exams? I feel like I'm not ready." She said in a worried tone.

"Bernice, you'll be fine. I feel like you prepared really well. If anything, I should be worried!" I said as I laughed.

For a while, we just kept on talking about random things.

"Hey Connie, I was thinking..." She said as her voice trailed off.

"Thinking about what?" I questioned.

"Well, my parents for my birthday got me tickets to a concert and I wanted to ask you if you wanted to come. It's during winter break and back in Toronto." She said.

"Sure! I would love to! Who are we seeing in concert?" I asked.

"One Direction..." She said.

I sort of stared at for a bit. I also didn't think it was that surprising because she still liked One Direction and as well, her relationship with Harry have been going so well.

"Well, since it's your birthday present from your parents and you asked me to go, I wouldn't mind going with you." I said.

"Really?!" She said.

I nodded and smiled.

"Thank you Connie! I know it might be a bit awk-" She said as I interrupted her.

"Don't worry, Bernice. It's not awkward for me at all. Plus, I'm excited to catch up with most of the boys!" I said.

I still kept in contact with Harry, Liam, Louis and Zayn this whole time. We would occasionally text and check up on each other. I'm glad we could still be friends even if Niall and I were no longer together.

I haven't talked to Niall in almost year and I had absolutely no idea how he was doing.

Do I miss him? Well, that's kind of hard, considering that I have-

All of sudden, a pair of hands came behind me and blocked my eyes.

"Guess who?" He said.

I started to laugh.

"Hey Evan." I said as I stood up to kiss him on the cheek.

Yes, Evan. My best friend since I've known from grade nine. We were dating.
