*Niall's POV:

Me and (y/n) have been friends ever since first grade. she see me as nothing but her best friend but i love her. But i will never get her because now she has Joe, (random name) her boyfriend. He treats her like shit but yet she still is with him. It kills me when i see the bruises on her body but i know i can't do anything because she not mine. I just want her to be happy...with me.

*(y/n) POV:
Today my big day, the day i turn 18. Niall is throwing me a big party and i can't wait. I been in my room for most of the day just trying to pick out my outfit and getting my make-up just right.
My outfit:
Just as i finish my make-up, Niall called me down so he will be the first person to see my dress. As i begin walking down the stairs, Niall walked in and stops. "Wow, (y/n) you look amazing." I blushed and walked down the rest of the steps till I'm face-to-face with him. "You don't look too bad yourself." i told him. His face turned red and he looked away. "Thanks."We then stood in complete silence until the doorbell ranged and he jumped up to answer it.

After the door ranged a few times and still no show of my boyfriend, i sighed and went to find a drink. As i walked into the kitchen i saw Niall in a corner with a whole bowl of chips. Of course. I grabbed a beer from the counter and walked to Niall. "Hey beautiful," he yelled over the loud music. "Hi Ni, may i ask you something?" "Anything, (y/n)" "Why are you eating all the chips?" He laughed and i was confused. "Because i want them, i want them to be mine and no one else because I love them." "Ok," was all i said. I had a feeling that Niall wasn't talking about those chips. My phone buzzed, it was a from Joe.
BooBear: Sorry can't make it. Happy birthday by the way.
Me: It's ok.
But it really wasn't. He knew today was my birthday and it was special to me. Tears threaten to fall as i ran up to my room.

*Niall's POV:
I was in the kitchen, eating the rest of the chips in the bowl when i saw (y/n) running up the stairs. I quickly put the bowl on the counter and ran after her into her room. "What's wrong, (y/n)" i said sitting on her bed. "Joe can't make it and it's my birthday and he is missing it," she cried. "Forget about Joe, you need someone better." "How am i just gonna forget about him, he is all i have." Ouch.

That's when i lost it. "Wow, that hurts. You have me!!!! I have always been here for you. I love you and you love him. It not fair that you have to get hurt because you'r too stupid to see that im here." "Wait, you love me?" "Since the first time i saw you in first grade."

She looked me in my eyes. "I love you too."
Then she kissed me.
