*Mackenzie’s POV (9pm, Friday the 7th)

Emily just went into the other room to take a phone call. Niall came and sat next to me at the piano and looked at my music book which Emily had done her work in tonight. “Wow…this is amazing. She is very talented.” Niall says. “She is, that’s why I wanted her. She knows my sound as you know from hearing those other little demos we wrote. I really think she could end up being the best writer in the music business.”

“Oh I know. I’ve heard the whole building buzzing about her. They’re all extremely impressed. Don’t tell her this, but if she does really well with yours and Zayn’s albums…they’re going to give her a permanent job as a songwriter for Capitol Records.” WHAT! “Oh my gosh that is the best news!! And I can’t tell her?!” “No, my dad would kill me if he knew I told even you. You have to keep this a secret. Promise?” he asks holding out his pinky. “Promise.” I say linking my pinky.

“Hey…what do you say we go upstairs and fool around a little bit?” Niall asks mischievously. “Ha all right let’s go.” I say following him up the stairs. We get into my bedroom and we change into pajamas. I know I said before that I wouldn’t let Niall get passed a certain place. But since then I kinda caved and let him go further.

Don’t get me wrong. We haven’t had sex yet. I know that he wants to take it all the way, because he loves me. But I told him that if he really thinks of me as his princess, that he will treat me like one and not force me to do something I’m not comfortable with. He agreed and he’s left it alone ever since.

We get on the bed and make out for a little bit before we get under the covers to go to sleep. While we’re lying there, we can faintly hear piano downstairs. Emily must be having some fun of her own. Niall and I turn to face each other and he looks deep into my eyes. He moves the hair out of my face gently and says “God you’re beautiful.” I look down and smile.

“Thanks, babe. You’re beautiful too, inside and out….you know I really wish we didn’t have to hide our relationship from your dad. I mean everybody at Capitol knows, my band knows, our friends know, even your mom knows now. It’s just your dad that seems to be having a problem with it.” Niall sighs before saying “Yeah I know. I wish dad would just lighten up and realize that he can’t stop us from loving each other; everyone is approving of us and he’s paranoid for nothing.”

“But we’ll be okay, right? You and me?” I say seriously wondering. He pulls me closer to him and kisses my head. “Yeah…we’ll be okay. I love you.” “I love you too. Let’s get some sleep. Good night, babe.” I say already starting to drift in his arms. “Sounds good to me. Good night, love.” Niall says snuggling into me. Of course my eyes pop right back open because there’s so much on my mind. My album, Emily, Zayn’s album and how much she has on her “to do” list now, just everything that’s happened.

In so little time, so much has happened with just the two of us. Plus overall in our circle of friends. Hannah and Susan went halfway across the world, Emily is here with me, and who knows how Sammie has been doing all this time. I try to call her every once in a while to check in. I talked to her earlier today and she said that she had something big to tell me, but she wanted to tell all of us girls at once so we’re gonna try and set up a video chat for when all of us will be in the same country again.

Hannah and Susan should have gotten into Chicago today to pack the rest of their things to go back to school. I didn’t hear anything from them all day so maybe they just spent the day with Sammie. Just a few months ago, everything was normal. We were all at our schools, the year going on like it should be. Just us going through school. Then summer comes, and everything gets turned around. I don’t know what happened to our world, but I definitely like the direction it’s heading in.
