*Susan’s POV (Noon, Friday the 24th)

Overall, Paris has been the greatest experience I’ve had. I have been training at the best professional ballet school in the world, made some new friends, and the most amazing thing of all: I got a fantastic boyfriend in Liam Payne. We’ve been dating a little more than a month and he is such a sweetie, treating me so well.

We told Danielle about us and she seemed to be fine with it just as long as she got to spend some time with Liam too. It was fine with both of us so Liam has been spending half the time with me and half with Danielle. Of course I would like it much better if he only spent time with me, but I can’t be selfish.

I’m at my ballet class now and Danielle is next to me. We’re in the back and we’ve been whispering throughout class today just talking. Then Danielle asks me, “So how are you and Liam doing?” “We’re great. He is such a nice guy and I really like him.” I say blushing.

“Awh that’s sweet. Sorry I have to be taking up some of your alone time.” Dani apologizes. “Oh no, it’s totally fine. I mean he did come here with you.” “Yeah, but he’s your boyfriend now. And once you go back home, you won’t be able to see him in person for…well who knows how long.” …well that woke me up.

I’m only just realizing that in 2 weeks, I go back home to go back to AMDA. I only have that much time left with Liam! After class, I go back to my hotel and Facebook him. I have to plan more dates with him before I have to go home, back halfway around the world. “Hey, Li.” “Hey, Susan it’s Danielle. Li went to the bathroom.” “Oh…hey Danielle I didn’t know you were with him. I’ll talk to him later.” I send about to log off.

“No no it’s okay we’re just hanging around. Here he is.” she sends. “Hey, babe. What’s up?” Liam sends. “I just wanted to talk to you, because well…I’m leaving in 2 weeks. And I want to spend as much time with you as possible before then. After the 7th, I don’t know when I’ll see you again.”

There is a pause before he sends, “Dress nice. Wear a bikini underneath. Meet me outside your hotel 6:00 tonight.” “…uh…okay…I’ll see you then.” I send thrown off. “See you then. Bye, love.” he sends before logging off. Wow…guess I have a date tonight!

I shower and put on my bikini and the rest of my outfit. I do my hair in an elegant bun and put on my makeup. I’m slipping my heels on when I realize it’s almost 6:00. I quickly spray on perfume and do a mirror check before running downstairs through the lobby and calmly walking outside.

I wait a minute or two before I see Liam crossing the street to me. When he gets closer, he just says “Wow. I know I told you to dress nice but…wow.” “Is it too much?” I ask getting self-conscious. “No! No, it’s perfect. Just…wow.”

I smile real big before he says “Let’s go to dinner.” We go to our usual place, to our usual table and order. The food is great as always, but the whole time, I can’t stop thinking about how I need to talk to him seriously about me leaving and about us.

After dinner, he takes me to the beach where he asked me out and we strip down to our bathing suits. We go for a swim in the water and he carries me as it gets deeper. He turns me so that my legs wrap around his torso and my hands are around his neck. He stops walking and he lifts my chin up to him and he kisses me.

“Liam, we have to talk. I’m leaving in 2 weeks to go home. We’ll be in different time zones and I don’t know when I’ll see you again. Before I get into a long distance relationship, I have to know that you want that too. I mean I know it’s only been a month so I understand if you just wanna break up and have nothing more to do with me—“

“Hey, hey. Look at me. I do not want to break up with you. I know long distance is tough, I’ve heard all the stories. But I’m willing to try with you. I care too much about you to let you go so soon without really giving us a try. Don’t you worry. We’ll make this work.” he finishes with a smile. I can’t even say anything, I just kiss him. I’m too happy that he reacted this way. We kiss again and he carries me back to the shore.

Once we get back onto the sand, he sets me down and then he sits with his legs open and gestures for me to sit in front of him. It’s this way, his arms wrapped in front of me and me leaning back with my head on his chest that we watch the sun set.

This is the most content and secure I’ve felt in a long time. This feeling along with everything Liam said tonight make me even more confident in our relationship and the assurance that Liam could never and would never hurt me.
