Love Hate

Daniel stopped in front of the entrance doors and let me out.

I ran into the building and looked around trying to find a familiar face.

I saw Jess' mom walk out of the area that led to the rooms.

I ran over to her.

"What happened" I asked worriedly.

"S-She d-did it a-again" she said. I could tell she was holding back tears.

"She did what again" I asked.

Please don't say what I think you're gonna say.

"She cut again" she said.

I started to cry. I was crying so loud I'm pretty everyone was looking at me, but I didn't care.

Her mom wrapped her arms around me and pulled me into her. She rubbed my back and tried to calm me down, but it just made it worse.

"Gabby" my mom said running over to me.

"What happened? Why're we here?" she asked.

She then looked over my shoulder and saw Jess' mom.

"What happened" my mom asked her.

"Jess cut herself again" she told my mom.

My mom stood there in shock.

She closed her trying to stop herself from crying.

By her facial expression I could tell it wasn't working.

"Wait if she cut herself why is she here, she wasn't here last time" Daniel asked.

"She did a lot of them and they were really deep. She lost a lot of blood and she ended up passing out" she answered, which made me cry even harder.

"H-H-Has she w-woken up yet" I asked through sobs.

"No, we got here like ten, fifteen, minutes ago" she told me.

"Can I see her" I asked quietly.

"Of course. It'd be pretty messed up if I didn't let her best friend see her while she was in the hospital" she said.

She must not have known that Jess didn't want anything to do with me.

She lead us to the room. The door was shut.

She opened it.

"Mom" I heard Jess say tiredly.

"You're up" she said happily.

Her mom walked fully inside revealing us.

Jess' smile dropped when she saw me. When it dropped it didn't look like in hatred, it looked more like hurt.

"Where am I" she asked while I fully walked into the room.

"The emergency room" her mom answered.

She looked down at her arms. Both of them were wrapped. You could see little patches of blood on the white wrap.

She then looked up at me with an apologetic look.

Soon a nurse walked in. She looked around the room at all of us.

"I'm sorry but only two people may be in here after dark" the nurse told us politely.

"Ok" my mom said. "We'll be back tomorrow" my mom told Jess' mom.

They left the room leaving me there. Good thing I brought my phone charger and headphones.

"How are you feeling sweetie" the nurse asked Jess.

"I'm fine" she answered.

"Ok, I'm just going to change your iv, then you shouldn't see me or any other doctors or nurses until the morning" she said as she took the iv out of Jess' arm.

She put a new one in and disposed the other one.

"I have to go Jessica, I have to help your sister with her wedding stuff tomorrow" her mom said.

"You can't leave there has to be an adult that is eighteen or older to be with her" the nurse said. I'm the "her" if you didn't understand.

"I am eighteen" I said.

"Oh, I'm sorry you look younger than that" the nurse apologized.

I take that as a compliment.

"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow then" Jess asked her mom.

"Maybe, it depends on how long your sister takes" her mom told her while she gathered her stuff.

"Okay" Jess said sadly.

I wasn't too fond of her mom. She was always doing something with Jess' sister, but never her. That's why Jess is always at my house, because she's always by herself.

Right now I really wasn't liking her mom. Who leaves their own daughter that's in the hospital for cutting herself, for her other daughter that needs help with wedding stuff? The wedding isn't for another five months.

"I brought your laptop, just in case you got bored" her mom told her.

"Okay" Jess said nodding her head.

"Bye Gabby" her mom said waving to me.

"Bye" I said waving back, putting a fake smile on my face.

The nurse and her mom left at the same time leaving Jess and I alone in the hospital room.

She turned the tv on clearly not wanting to have a conversation with me.

I heard Louis' voice which made me whip my head in the direction of the tv.

It was their interview.

"This is still on" I asked not really talking to anyone.

"No, I recorded it" Jess said.

"You can do that here" I asked.

"Yeah, it's a pretty high tech hospital" she said chuckling.

"Yeah. To bad they can't get bigger TVs" I said looking at the small square tv.

"Yeah" she said.

The room became silent besides the sound of the tv.

She started the whole interview over.

'I would like to welcome the biggest boyband in the world… Please welcome, One Direction' the interviewer said.

They all walked onstage, except for Zayn. I wonder where he is.

"Where's Zayn" Jess said pouting.

The interviewer asked the same question.

'He, uh, had a little accident with his hand a few minutes ago, so he had to go to the hospital' Harry answered.

'By little accident he means his whole hand is swollen and purple' Louis said.

Oh my gosh I knew he punched a wall but I didn't think he hit it that hard.

'Well I hope he gets better' the interviewer said.

We had been watching the interview for about 20 minutes so I'm guessing the interview is almost over.

'So let's talk relationships' the interviewer said moving her eyebrows up and down.

Louis and Liam talked about their girlfriends. Now it was Harry's turn.

'So Harry I see you have a girlfriend' she said.

'Yeah' he said smiling big, making me do the same.

'I've seen some pictures of you two out in public' she said. On the screen it showed a picture of Harry and I kissing.

'I see you guys have no problem with PDA' she said chuckling.

'Yeah, I like to let people know she's mine' he said making me smile bigger.

'How long have you two been dating' she asked.

'It'll be two months in a week and three days' he said.

'You're so exact mate' Louis said chuckling.

Harry just shrugged.

'What about you Niall, is there someone special' the interviewer asked.

'Nah' he said shaking his head.

'Not even a crush' she asked.

'Um yeah' he said.

I turned to Jess. She looked really sad.

'So why aren't you two dating' the interviewer asked.

'I messed things up' he said.

'Aww I'm sorry, maybe you can fix things with her' the interviewer suggested.

He just nodded his head and looked down.

The tv suddenly turned off.

I turned my head to Jess.

"I'm sorry if you wanted to watch that, I just couldn't watch anymore" Jess said wiping her eyes.

"It's fine" I told her.

"Can I talk to you" I asked her after the room had fell in silence.

"Um, sure" she said unsure.

"Why'd you do it" I asked.
