Love Hate

Niall punched Mason straight in the jaw. Mason fell to the ground.

"Do you have anything else to say about her" Niall asked crouching down to look Mason in the face.

Mason shook his head quickly now scared of Niall as well.

"That's what I thought" Niall said standing up.

Mason got up and pushed through the people leaving the gym. The music started again and everyone's attention left us.

"That's not fair" Harry said.

"What isn't fair" I asked him confused.

"Niall got to hit him and I didn't. I mean come on he tried to kiss my girlfriend" he pouted.

"Oh my gosh Harry shut up" I said rolling my eyes him.

"You're so mean" he said.

"But you love me anyway" I told him. He smiled at me.

"What are you guys wearing" Jess chuckled talking to the boys. I was thinking the same thing when they walked onstage.

Harry was dressed up but Niall, Louis, Zayn, Liam weren't. They had on jeans and t-shirts. Harry had on black dress pants with a black belt, a white button up shirt with the sleeves cuffed to his elbow, and a black bow tie.

"We aren't dancing so why do we need to dress up" Louis said.

"Good point" she said chuckling.

"Ok boys and girls it's time to crown the Prom Queen and King" the principal said walking onto the stage. Everyone cheered, mostly girls.

"We'll start with the King first" he said making most of the girls groan.

"Ok and your Prom King is..." He pulled out a card from an envelope like it was an award ceremony.

"Brad Cook" he yelled into the microphone.

"Yay" Jess and I cheered because he's like our best friend.

"That's Brad" Harry asked.

"Um y-yeah" I answered him. He turned his attention back to the stage.

They put the crown on Brad's head and handed him the microphone for a little speech.

"Um I'm not really sure how I won this because I've only been here for a month" he said chuckling. "But thank you to everyone who voted for me" he said smiling while everyone clapped for him again.

"Ok now it's time for Prom Queen" the principal said. The girls cheered much louder than the boys.

"And your Prom Queen is....." He started, pausing longer than a normal person would when they announce winners, which resulted to some girls yelling at him to hurry up. They need to calm down because it's just tiara.

"Gabriella Miller" he announced. Did he just call my name?

"Oh my gosh you won Gabby" Jess cheered confirming that he did say my name.

I walked onto the stage and they put the tiara on my head and handed me the microphone. Fuck I'm not good at speeches.

"Um I'm kinda confused as to how I won this because I wasn't even running for Prom Queen" I said making some people laugh. "Um I don't really deserve this" I said making some people gasp.

Maddie deserved it, yeah she was total bitch to me but this is something she's always wanted. I've been going to school with her since kindergarten and she's always said how she wanted to be a princess. When she got older and actually understood how the world worked she said her #1 dream was to be Prom Queen. I couldn't take that dream away from her.

She was in the front row and I looked at her. She looked upset and hurt, emotions I've never seen on Maddie's face.

"Am I aloud to give this to someone else" I asked the principal.

"I guess if you want too" he shrugged.

I took the tiara off my head and walked off the stage towards Maddie.

"This belongs to you" I said putting the tiara on top of her head giving her a small smile. The bottom of her eyes were brimmed with tears.

"Thank you" she said embracing me in a tight hug. Everyone applauded. Never in a million years did I think I would be hugging her.

"I guess our new winner is Maddie Reynolds" he announced her name motioning for her to come onto the stage. She walked on stage.

"Do you want to say something" he asked her. She nodded her head.

"I may swear" she told him. He just shrugged.

"Um I just want to say a huge thank you to Gabby. Since kindergarten I've been nothing but a complete bitch to her and I'm pretty sure I've made her life a living hell. I want to say I'm really sorry for that" she said. Never thought I'd ever hear those words out her mouth.

"I'm sorry Gabby" she said looking at me. She gave the microphone back to the principal. Everyone began to clap loudly, some even whistled for her speech.

I decided to walk back to the boys and Jess.

When I got back to them everyone hugged me at once.

"You're just the sweetest thing aren't you" Louis said in a baby voice.

"Let go of me" I said pushing them off of me.

"Don't ever call me sweet. I hate being called that" I told him.

"But you are" Jess said. I glared at her.

"You can call me nice but never call me sweet" I told them.

"Then what is Harry supposed to say when he eats yo-"

"Niall" Liam screamed covering Niall's mouth.

"You're disgusting" I chuckled. He's such a perv.

"What I'm just asking a question. I think you should answer it because that part of your relationship could be coming soon and Harry needs to know in advance" he said. Harry hit his arm.

"Ow" Niall whined in pain and looked at me.

"I'm not helping you with this one Niall" I told him chuckling.

"Ok we have two more songs left for the Prom. Both will be slow songs. The first one will be the Queen and King dancing together. The last one they will be with their dates" the DJ announced.

The first song that came on was 'Give Me Love' by Ed Sheeran.

I wrapped my arms around Harry's neck.

"Who said I wanted to dance with you" he said jokingly.

"Fine" I said letting go of his neck and turned around. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me back to him. He put his hands on my waist.

"Who said I wanted to dance with you" I repeated his words and laughed.

"Me" he said grabbing my arms and putting them around his neck.

The song soon ended. The next song that came on was 'Kiss Me' by Ed Sheeran.

Settle down with me

Cover me up

Cuddle me in

Lie down with me

And hold me in your arms

The lyrics ran through the gym. I moved closer to Harry laying my head on his chest.

"I love you" he whispered into my ear.

"I love you too"

Niall's POV
The first slow song was about to be over. Niall grow some balls and ask her my subconscious told me. I wish Gabby could talk to my subconscious because she'd have some things to say to him.

I took a deep breath and walked over to her.

"Hey Jess" I said.

"Hey Niall" she said smiling at me. God she's beautiful.

"Would um you um maybe want to um" she stared at me with an eyebrow raised and an amused look on her face.

"Fuck I'm bad at this" I said making her laugh.

"Yeah you really are, but it's cute" she said smiling. I could feel my cheeks heat up.

"Do you want to dance Jess" I finally asked her.

"Of course" she said getting out of her seat. We walked into the crowd and ended up next to Harry and Gabby. They weren't paying attention which was good.

I put my hands on her waist slowly. She then wrapped her arms around my neck. We swayed to the music.

"Oh my gosh you two are like the cutest things ever" I heard Gabby say. Fuck.

"Aww is Niall blushing" Harry cooed at me.

"No" I answered.

"Yes you are" Gabby said. "I bet you regret wearing those clothes now" she said.

"Nah they're more comfortable than dressy clothes" I said.

"You're telling me" she mumbled. I knew she was not enjoying those heels and that dress.

"Why don't you two just worry about each other and leave me alone" I told them. They both glared at me but did what I said.

I looked back at Jess.

"Thank you for what you did earlier" she said.

"It was nothing" I said giving her a smile. Really it wasn't anything I wanted to do more than what I did to him for what he did to Jess. I wish Zayn and Liam would have let Harry go that would've been interesting.

"You know you're not a worthless bitch right" I asked her.

"Yeah" she nodded her head.

The song ended meaning the whole Prom was over. I let go of her and she let go of me. I wish we could've stayed like that.

Gabby's POV
The song ended so I let go of Harry's neck but he didn't let go of me.

I looked up at him confused.

"I've been with you for almost three hours" he told me.

"Yeah so" I said still confused.

"I've been with you for almost three hours and you haven't kissed me once" he said poking his lip out.

I stood on my tippy toes. Even in high heels I still had to stand on my tippy toes to reach him. I pecked his bottom lip that was sticking out.

"There. Are you satisfied" I asked him.

"That wasn't even a kiss you just put your lips on my bottom lip. You have to have both of your lips on both of my lips" he said touching both of my lips and both of his while saying it.

I stood on my tippy toes again pressing my lips to his. He kissed back instantly. We both smiled into the kiss. It lasted awhile before we pulled apart.

"Now are you satisfied" I asked chuckling.

"Yes" he said smiling.
