Em’s p.o.v

We were all sitting down and this time Connor decided to drive and it’s been a while since I talked to him and everyone decided to go to bed as again we were taking turns driving so I sat up front with Connor.

“hey Connor.” I said.

“Long time no see well in this case talk.” He said.

“you’re so bad at trying to be funny.” I said.

“so why did you come here to talk.” He asked.

“because I haven’t talked to just you in while.” I said.

“well it’s been hard you know since we are living with how many people in 3 rooms yeah there’s not much space for privacy.” He said.

“yeah I know.” I said.

“anyway last time I talked to just you was before Louis shot you.” He said.

“I know how can I forget that.” I said.

“and here you are going out with him.” He said.

“oh god here we go you’re going to act all big brother or like a dad maybe.” I said.

“no I’m not, but great time for getting a guy Em well done.” He said being sarcastic.

“I know right great timing, but think if he didn’t shoot me that day we wouldn’t have found the cure well half found since he is immune.” I said.

“I know and plus he is good at entertaining.” Connor said.

“so what do you think about Alex and Katherine.” I said and Connor stayed silent.

“helllooo.” I said.

“what.” He said.

“I asked what you think of Alex and Katherine.” I said and again he stayed quiet” oh my god you like one of them and alex and Niall are hitting it off so that means you must like Katherine oh my god – y” I said getting interrupted by Connor.

“ok shut up now your being annoying.” He said agitated.

“no you like Katherine, you like Katherine you like katherrr” I said but Connor put his hand over my mouth so I liked his hand.

“ew you just licked my hand.” He said and i burst out laughing.

“what the fuck is going on?” Louis said whilst everyone else was behind him oops must have woke them up.

“she licked my hand.” Connor said and I laughed again.

“why did you do that Em.” Liam said.

“because he covered my mouth because I kept saying that he .” I said but Connor put his hand over my mouth again.

“ok I think that you should go to bed Em.” Connor said.

“fine then.” I said and walked away to my room with Louis.

“Spill what were you going to say before Connor put his hand over your mouth.” Louis said.

“fine he has a thing for Katherine.” I said.

“oh really.” Louis said and smirked.

“oh no don’t you dare do anything to interfere with it.” I said.

“I won’t.” He said.

“Louis promise me you won’t because I wasn’t meant to say anything so don’t do anything.” I said pleading him.

“ok I won’t I pinkie promise.” He said and hugged me. I fell asleep in his arms.

*next morning.*

“Em wake up.” Louis said.

“wait did I not drive last night?” I said.

“no you didn’t we didn’t want to wake you.” Louis said.

“why I was fine driving.” I said.

“no you were absolutely shattered you always drive and do so much.” Louis said.

“anyway we are here.” Harry said walking in the room.

“wait we are at the safe zone.” I said.

I walked into the main gate where Niall was pulling up to the gates of Right he safe zone. The safe zone was surrounded in a huge metal wall which was about the height of 6 house, yeah it was huge and the gates were the height of a 2 story house and the wall surrounded the full of Atlanta.

“HOLD IT, how many are there and we need everyone out here and we have to inspect your RV.” One of the soldiers said.

“there is 10 of us.” Niall said.

“ok everyone out we need to inspect your RV.” The other soldier said. We all walked outside and stood against it.

“nice outfit.” One of the soldiers said and I looked down and realised it was like the army uniform.

“thank you.” I said.

“ok so the RV is completely safe and you can keep your weapons for emergencies, but if you use them against any one inside of here you will be kicked out.” The soldier said.

“ok we have one more thing to do.” The other soldier said holding up this eye scanner to my eye and he scanned my eye and continued down the line.

“what was that for.” Louis said.

“it was to make sure you had no sign of the infection in you.” The soldier said.

“what are your names we need your details so we can add you to this community.” The other soldier said we all said our names and gave them the basic details like date of birth , birth place and things like that.

“ok so you are free to go in if you guys head to city hall you will be able to get a place to stay.” The soldier said.

“ok.” We said and got back into the RV the big metal gates opened and we drove in it looked like a normal town apart from there were a lot of tent things up like what the military have, they were mainly for food, medical and there was a small school/ day care thing for younger kids and the other ones were military ones with weapons and things like that. Once we arrived at city hall we all went inside and we had a weapon with us but as soon as we went in we had to give our weapons up but we will get them back once we are out.

We walked through the big building until we got to a front desk of the mayor’s office.

“um hello.” I said.

“hello there how may I help you.” The woman said.

“we have just arrived the two guards at the front gates told us to come here.” I said.

“ok well you can go in to the mayor’s office now.” The woman said. we all walked into the office and we stood by his desk.

“hello there I hear that your new here.” The mayor said.

“yeah we just arrived.” I said.

“ok well welcome I am the mayor but to be honest I’m not high maintained so you can call me Robert or rob.” He said.

“well I’m Emily or Em for short” I said and shook his hand.

“I’m Lisa.” Lisa said and shook his hand.

“I’m Connor.” Connor said and shook his hand.

“I’m Alex.” Alex said and shook his hand.

“I’m Katherine.” Katherine said and shook his hand.

“I’m Harry.” Harry said and shook his hand.

“I’m Liam. Liam said and shook his hand.

“I’m Niall.” Niall said and shook his hand.

“I’m Zayn.” Zayn said and shook his hand.

“oh and I’m Jennifer.” Louis said.

“Louis seriously your saying that again tell him your real name and shake his hand.” I said and hit the back of his head and he obeyed what I said.

“well I see we have a joker here.” Robert said.

“yeah Louis is very immature.” I said.

“you guys seem familiar, but you sound British so how did you get here through the apocalypse since this Is worldwide.” Robert said.

“We were touring in America when it first happened and we just kind of tried to survive this then we met with the others and we stayed together.” Harry said.

“you were touring.” Robert said.

“yeah we are a band well us 5 me, Niall, Liam, Zayn and Harry.” Louis said.

“one direction right.” Robert said.

“yeah we are.” Liam said.

“ok well I think you will find where everything is easily but if you need anything just come back here ok, here are the keys to the house you will be staying in, it should be big enough for all of you but if not you can always get a second house but in return for this if we may need you guys to help out with the trips to find food and supplies so be prepared for that.” Robert said.

“that is fine with us.” Connor said.

“oh yeah we haven’t mentioned this to anyone but when we were trying to stay alive Louis got attacked just before Christmas and he didn’t change into one of those zombies and he got past that test we all had to do so we think he is immune does this mean we might have found a cure.” I said.

“wait Louis is immune.” Robert said.

“yeah he is.” I said.

“ok after you are settled in so maybe tomorrow take him to the medical tent and they will take some samples of your blood or whatever it is they do and they will try many ways of making it into a cure, you guys might have saved the world now go and get settled in.” Robert said and we walked out of the town centre to find our house we will be living in.
