Rachel's P.O.V.

"I swear Cal,and as if that wasn't enough she gave us another chapter to read along with questions from it. Like seriously, what is her problem?" I finished, taking a bit of the slice of pizza I had been flapping around while complaining about my Biology teacher.

Calum chuckled, he obviously found amusement in my distress.

"Like I said before Rach, you should've dropped out with me" he shrugged,taking a bite of his own slice.

I sighed. Calum had dropped out of school this term to pursue his music. I was completely supportive of course, being a musician was always Calum's dream. However I had no special talents or anything I was particularly good at that would assist me in being successful if I dropped out,unlike Calum.

"What and come live with you? Your barely paying your bills" I reminded him.

When Calum had left school he also left home. He wanted to be more independent and so he was living in a small apartment, not far from where I lived with a roommate I barely knew. His name was Luke and he went to my school bu he was absent a lot and kept to himself and his own friends. According to Calum he was a pretty nice dude though and I couldnt deny he was very goodlooking.

Between the two of them they paid the rent, heating, electricity and so on but just about. Though Calum was focusing on his music, he was working in a local bar along with a supermarket to afford everything.

"Yes well when I get big you can come live with me" he shrugged, ignoring my negativity.

Calum had this great idea of him becoming a famous musicians one day, world known and sickeningly rich. He had promised me that when this happened he'd bring me around the world. It had always been my dream to travel and he wanted to give me that.

I didn't get a chance to respond because my phone buzzing in my pocket distracted me. I slipped it out quickly and checked the message.

"Hey Cal, I gotta go. Louis wants me to come over and go through some of the work we were doing last night again just to make sure I'm prepared for the test tomorrow.

Calum's brow furrowed. It was Sunday night and every Sunday I went to Louis' as he was my tutor but Calum still got annoyed sometimes.

" Are you sure this is actually about schoolwork and he doesn't just want to get you alone?" He pressed.

Rolling my eyes I couldn't help but grin. Calum was always a tad to protective.

"Don't be silly, he has a girlfriend remember? Egypt who happens to live with him. One if my best friends.. Ringing any bells?" I teased.

He pouted. "I'm your best friend" he reminded me,sounding like a child.

"So you are" I replied,standing up, making sure I wasn't forgetting anything. "Unfortunately for me" I added, with a wink in his direction. He responded by sticking out his tongue.

"Well I best be off Cal, Ring me tomorrow after work, okay? We'll meet up if you're not too tired" I told him.

He nodded, giving me a wave.

"Buh-bye" I called out as I headed for the door,leaving Calum alone with his strange roommate who (when I was around anyway) stayed in his room.
