Tess' P.O.V

"Friends?" I asked.

He smiled weakly.

"Friends."

We broke apart for what seemed like hours. I looked into his bright blue eyes. I wasn't sure who this person was right now but I kinda liked it. I wondered why he was here and why he was holding me like he never wanted to let go. Before I could stop my thoughts my mouth takes over.

"Why are you here? Why do you actually care about me?" I ask.

"Because what I said earlier was very harsh and I wanted to find out what you have been hiding from me. Also because you are one of the most beautifulest girls that have ever actually cared about me enough to give me another chance when I have treated you like complete and utter shit." He confessed to me.

I was so surprised that he actually cared about me.

"One thing if I tell you, you have to promise me to never ever repeat anything that comes out of my mouth." I tell him seriously.

"Okay I promise you nothing will come out of my mouth." He tells me.

He's in for a story of a lifetime. I get up while his eyes say attached to me never leaving. I go to the other side of the bed to pick up the box the I had previously shoved under my bed and take it back over to where he is sitting and look into those gorgeous blue eyes. I look down at the box and open it up and take out a small picture and slide it on the ground over to him.

"Now while I tell you this story you can't ask any questions or it wont end up very well.." I tell him.

"Okay i'll try to keep it quiet." He admits.

"Now you're going to wonder who she is. She is my sister. Yea. Yea. You're going to want to know who she is and where she is. Well i'm going to start from the beginning. Well we were fraternal twins. She was always so close with me. We would tell each other everything. It was our 15th birthday and I had the perfect idea. Since we had gotten enough money to go get matching tattoos. That day we had everything planned out it all went well. We got matching tattoos.." I say zoning out.

Flashback

"Tessa are you sure about this?" Sarah asks me, her eyes burning with excitement.

"Yeah! But only of you want to. I mean, were only 15, but we can do what we like, cant we. And no one needs to know, not for awhile anyways." I said excitedly, clapping my hands as I lead the way into the small tattoo parlor. "And besides this place doesn't even ask for ID."

"She died in a car accident on the way back from my parents coming and picking us up from the tattoo parlor." I tell him zoning back in. Small sobs leaving my mouth. "It was all my fault. If I wouldn't have suggested the whole tattoo thing she would still be here. If I would have sat in the normal spot I normally do it would have been me not her." I say sadly

"This was never your fault. God had a plan with her and took her because he wanted better for her." He injects

"I know, but you know its hard. After I got out of the hospital I went into deep depression. My dad left us. He blamed me and left. I've never herd from him since he left us. My mother turned on me..." I admitted.

Niall remained silently, so I slipped out if his gaze and turned around and pulled the shoulder of my shirt down to reveal the tattoo. He gasped.

"So thats why you have been hiding the truth from me..... " He muttered, his cool fingers tracing the lines I knew too well.

"Theres more..." I muttered, tugging my shirt down a few intake more. I herd a sharp intake of breath.

"Tessa...." He breathed.

"A few days after I got home, I was changing in my room when I caught sight of the fully healed tattoo in the mirror. I hated it, Niall. So I did the only thing I could. I cut myself. But not in straight lines. An inscription, forever scared on the skin under the tattoo."

"Doves will fly...." Niall murmured, reading my tattoo. I sighed again, and repeated the words I knew were below the black ink, white scars against my skin.

"Until doves die..."
