Losing and gaining

Nialls pov
"Hey where are you going?" I asked her
"To get ready for your friend's party!" She answered as of it was obvious
"Peyton, it's not till 4. It's 10 right now!"
"Ohh" she blushed
"It's fine don't worry. What do you want to do until then?"
"Oh your staying? It looks like the roads are a lot better." Peyton commented looking out the living room window
"Oh um," I said scratching the back of my neck, "I was wondering if I could just stay here until 4."
Her face lit up with a smile and she quickly nodded.
We ended up playing monopoly, laughing and chatting the entire time. I learned more about where she came from (California) and her favourite food (onion rings). I loved the way her hair fell when she looked down and the way she laughed as if everything was right in the world. I just hoped that she would feel the same way...
-A FEW HOURS LATER-
Payton's pov
Niall and I went our seperate ways to get dressed for this party. Man, was I nervous! I threw on a light purple dress to be a little classy, some jewelry, and because I was able to walk on my ankle now, my new Uggs (not pictured)

When I saw Niall my heart stopped.

And I have the feeling his did too by the way his mouth fell open! I blushed deeply and commented "y-you look nice."
Before looking down and fiddling with the strap to my purse.
"Thanks but it's nothing compared to you! You look stunning. " he answered truthfully, and a smile lit up my face.
We went down the stairs and I called to my mom while we were at the front door, "bye mum! I'll be home later!"
Before walking outside. Niall opened my door graciously and I slid onto the leather seat while he went around to the driver's side of the car. I fixed my hair in the reflection of my phone and smiled to him while he started the car. Suddenly, the car made a wheezing noise and it stopped. He looked at me in surprise and disappointment.
"Now how are we going to get there?" He wondered out loud.
