Pure Seduction

Ashton

Exhaustion didn’t even begin to describe your aggressively spent demeanor. Even walking seemed like a hard task as your feet felt like anvils being dragged across the floor. After days of working double shifts at the bookstore, your eyes were having troubles staying open. It was that time to soak your overly tired body in a nice warm bath, The Great Gatsby resting between your fingertips.
Originally, this night was supposed to be spent with Ashton, dining over soft lighting or maybe merely snuggling on the couch with a Disney movie playing. Either way, the events of tonight were not what you had in mind, and you wanted nothing more than to be curled up against your beautiful Green Eyes, preferably in the bathtub.
As silently as possible, you made your way through the flat you shared with Ashton, after unlocking the door and re-locking it. The entire flat itself was dark, mirroring the time of nearly eleven at night. Though there were sounds of soft snores drawing you to the living room, Ashton’s sleeping form sprawled across the couch as an unfamiliar show continued playing on the television quietly. You smiled softly at the sight, but as you did so, you took notice in his outfit looking a bit overdressed for a night by himself. Though he probably went out with the boys after you cancelled on him.
Reaching forward, you were ready to gently shake his shoulders, encouraging him to the bedroom for a very needed cuddle session. But in the middle of your actions, the cupped hand resting on his stomach took your attention, looking as if he was holding onto something. In an effort to see what it was, you gently pried open his fingers, though you never expected what you were about to see.
Sitting in Ashton’s cupped hand was a square velvet box, small with the black, soft fabric surrounding it. Your hand shook heavily as you took it from Ashton to gently hold it, tears stinging your eyes with the promise to fall. The box felt all too heavy in your hand, drawing the importance of what was resting inside. And as the first tear fell from your eye, you heard Ashton speak, voice raspy from recent awakening.
“Baby,” he whispered, eyes wide as he took you the situation in front of him, his girlfriend clutching onto the ring meant for her with tears falling down her cheeks. This was not how tonight was supposed to go.
***
Mikey is making me take a double shift… again. Rain check, baby? xx.
Ashton’s eyes trailed through the words of the text before looking up at the scene set in front of him. The table was set, two candles littering in the middle causing a slight illumination in the muted dark room. In between the two lighted candles sat a small vase of red roses. On each end the table rested plates of food, silverware resting on top of napkins that sat on either side of the plates. Wine glasses were filled, and sat by the silverware. Even Ashton was dressed in his best, a pair of his infamous black skinny jeans were hugging his lower half. Matching the jean’s color, there was a dress shirt and blazer adorning his torso. And the entire ensemble was pulled together with a pair of shined dress shoes, matching the familiar color scheme of black.

Reading the text over again, Ashton couldn’t help the sinking feeling in his heart, his plans for tonight going to the gutter. With his head bowed, he tucked his phone away in his pocket before leaning forward to blow out the candles. Once the flames were blown clear, there was a slight darkness that surrounded Ashton, only the muted light of the moon shining through the flat. It seemed a fitting lighting for the mood in which had set over Ashton, disappointment so prominent in his gut. The ring that rested in the pocket of his blazer suddenly felt like an intruding nuisance, wanting to be where it truly belonged—on your finger.
Ashton’s fingers toyed with the bump the ring created in his jacket as it rested in the velvet box. Without thinking, his fingers slipped into the pocket, pulling it out. Those green eyes you fell in love with so easily filled with disappointment and sadness as he stared at the object in his hands. He couldn’t help the doubt swirling around in his stomach convincing him that maybe this proposal wasn’t meant to be. Maybe this was a sign that you didn’t even really want to marry him, anyhow, considering how young the two of you were. A lot younger than most people were when they got engaged. Maybe this was a sign telling him this wasn’t right. You two weren’t right.
That thought itself sent Ashton’s head spinning with thoughts of you absent from his life. He just couldn’t have it, not now; not ever. He needed you more than what was comprehensible. With the taste of you in his life, there could never be a time where he didn’t want you. There would never be a time where he didn’t want to have you in his life. You were it for him, and that thought alone never scared him, not one bit.
“It’ll all be okay,” Ashton reassured himself, standing up and making his way to the couch without bothering to clean up at all. “Just gonna relax,” he decided as he sat down on the surface of the couch, sighing.
Before long, Ashton found himself laying fully down on the couch, eyes examining the velvet box as he twirled it slowly in his hand. There were soft sounds of the television playing, though Ashton couldn’t even say what was actually on considering his attention wasn’t on it for a second. And after little time, Ashton found his eyes closing, mind finding reprieve with thoughts of velvet boxes and your eyes.
***
“Ashton,” you whispered, eyes focused on the box resting in your hands. To the touch, it was soft with the promise of the rest of your life. You could feel Ashton’s eyes on you, but you couldn’t bring yourself to look at anything other than the black velvet. And when you spoke, your voice was nothing above a whisper, if that. “What is this?” Finally, you looked up at him with tears streaming down your cheeks.
Ashton stood up, slowly. You both knew the barbarics of your question. Of course you knew what you were holding in your palm, the significance of it. But for some reason, you needed to hear it out loud. You needed to hear Ashton say it.
“I think we both know what it is,” Ashton finally spoke, voice slower and raspier than usual. Glancing down at the box in your palm, you gently moved it around with your fingers. “It’s an engagement ring, love.”
“For me?” Your voice came out in a bit of a squeak, the tears now affecting your voice.
There was a soft smile gracing Ashton’s lips as he looked over at you. Stepping closer, he gripped the box in his fingertips, prying it away from you. “I wouldn’t buy one for anyone else, baby.”
Your bottom lip quivered. “Is that why you’re so dressed up? Were you going to do it tonight? Did I ruin everything? I’m so sorry, Ashton! I didn’t-”
“Shh,” his hands cupping your cheeks cut you off, lips pressing to your forehead. “Shh, my love. You did nothing wrong. You couldn’t have know. It was only a simple dinner.”
“There was a dinner too?” You squeaked, crying heavily now. Ashton shushed you once again, pulling you closer by your waist. With his efforts, you fell into his chest easily, without a second thought. Really, Ashton’s arms were your favorite place to be seeing as it was so safe and warm. You wouldn’t trade that feeling for the world. “I really am sorry, Green Eyes,” you whispered, breath fanning across his neck.
Ashton shrugged his shoulders. “I like overcoming obstacles. Builds a bit of character, baby. Besides since when has our relationship gone ever according to plan?”
“Touche,” you giggled.
There was a bout of silence as the two of you stayed tangled in a heap of limbs. There wasn’t even a definite stop of his limbs and start of yours; it was simply a tangle of bodies. But after long, Ashton untangled himself from you, watching as you furrowed your eyebrows with his lack of touch. But as he placed a small lingering kiss to the skin of your cheek, you watched in awe as he fell onto one knee, hand outstretching the velvet box.
“Frankly,” Ashton spoke quietly. “I don’t think I can wait much longer to do this. Besides, dinner’s already ruined, so you know, what the hell?”
“Ashton,” you whispered, his name seeming to be the only word you could produce.
“God, I’m so in love with you, baby. From the moment you looked up at me in that little store of yours, I knew you were someone special,” he started, and there were already tears congregating in your eyes. “And the day I was able to finally take you out on a date was probably the one of the best days of my life. For so long, you’ve been this shining light of hope for me, and I couldn’t imagine spending my life with anyone other than you. It’s just not possible,” he took a deep breath, eyes shining with red rimming the edges. “Clear as day, I can see you being the mother of my children. We’d have the most beautiful babies, I just know it. I can see us growing old together with little grandchildren running about. I see a life with you, darling. Only you.” His shaking hand then flicked open the box, gripping the ring between his fingers. A choked sob escaped our lips as he held it the ring up to you, beautifully glistening in the moon’s light. “You are my life, no doubt about it. So would you do me the absolute honor of spending the rest of your life with me? Will you marry me?”
Ashton looked at you, shining eyes wide with nerves. But without any hesitation whatsoever, you nodded your head frantically, cries escaping your lips as you did so. “Yes,” you whispered so quietly you were worried Ashton hadn’t heard you, but he had. And in an instant, you were wrapped up in Ashton’s embrace, his arms lifting your feet off the ground as he spun the both of you around. Your laughs mingled in the air, creating the most beautiful noise you had ever heard. “Yes,” you spoke again as Ashton set you down on your feet. “Yes.”
And the moment his eyes found your face, unadulterated joy gleaming in them, you fell in love all over again. The feeling came crashing down like a tidal wave, consuming your entirety. “I never thought I’d be so happy to hear just one syllable,” he leaned, pressing his lips to yours in a much needed kiss. The kiss was innocent, the two of you smiling to heavily into it for any real kissing to occur, yet it made your stomach flutter all the same, head heavy with pleasure.
Once you both pulled away, Ashton grabbed your left hand, sliding the ring onto your fourth finger where it would stay

“Beautiful,” he kissed the finger the ring was adorned on.
Then his eyes met yours, all traces of humor vanished, replaced with the utmost amount of love shining in his eyes. “I love you so much, Ashton,” you whispered, desperately needing him to know the extent of your feelings.
“Oh baby. I love you more than you’ll ever know.” And then his lips were on yours again. This time, there were no hints of smiles, merely lips moving against lips. Ashton’s hands gripped your waist, pulling your body flush against his. He groaned at the contact, needing your body against his.
There was no hesitation as Ashton slipped his tongue into your mouth, moaning into your mouth as you met it with your own. Your hands cupped either side of his face as Ashton’s found a home under your shirt. His fingertips were everywhere on your skin, enjoying the feel of softness with each subtle touch.

Without being able to take much more, your hands moved to grip his shirt, ripping the buttons open and pushing his shirt and blazer onto the floor. Instantly, your hands were everywhere on his torso. Though with the removal of his shirt and blazer, you paused for a moment, drinking him in. There has been plenty occasions where you’ve seen him without a shirt, but each time, you could never get over his raw beauty. You looked up at his eyes, smiling softly before reaching your lips up to find his. You kissed him again as his fingers now toyed with the end of your tee shirt, and it didn’t take long before another article of clothing found its way to the floor.
Ashton’s lips left yours, trailing across the expanse of your jaw to the skin of your neck. And once his mouth opened, tongue combining with the feel of his lips, you couldn’t help the loud moan that fell from your lips.
“Ashton,” you panted. “Let’s go to the bedroom.”
“Okay.”
Before you knew it, the two of you were laid across the bed, Ashton on top of you in nothing but his underwear. Ashton left a series of opened mouth kisses to your neck as his hand moved to massage your breast lightly. His thumb flicked your nipple, and your back arched off the bed, pressing into his hips.
“Baby,” Ashton groaned at the feel of you against him. He moved his fingertips to toy with band of your lace underwear, his favorite black pair.
“Please, Ashton,” you wiggled your hips, desperate for the material to be gone. Ashton smirked with your pleading voice before pushing the underwear down your legs. Automatically, his fingers came to where you needed him the most, trailing up your center to feel just how ready you were. He hissed with the feel of it, and your hips bucked up. “Ashton,” you moaned as his fingers rubbed that sensitive bundle of nerves. “I’m ready, please, Ashton.”
Your hands were at the band of his underwear, pulling them down his legs in an effort to release him. Ashton sighed as he was freed from the confines of his boxers. Your hand wrapped around the expanse of him, pumping as he hissed before launching forward to place his lips to yours in a rough kiss.

“Oh baby,” he moaned against your lips. “Baby, stop. As much as I love it when you do that, I don’t want to come like this.”
Leaning over, Ashton opened up the nightstand drawer, fishing around for something. “Wait,” you spoke, causing him to stop his movements as confusion set into his features. “I want to feel you, Ashton. No condom.”
“You sure?”
You nodded without any hesitation. “Birth control, remember?”
Ashton only nodded before he placed his lips to yours in a loving kiss, lining himself up before gently easing in. The kiss was lost as the two of you drew in a sharp breath with the feel of it. Ashton stayed there for moment, allowing you time to adjust before he continued, lips kissing down your neck as his hips moved back and forth.
Your hands gripped his shoulders, nails digging into his skin with each thrust as small moans surfaced the room. Arching your chest into his, you couldn’t stop the moan that tumbled from your lips as Ashton gave a particular deep thrust.
“Ashton,” you moaned. “Right there, baby.”
His lips moved from your neck down to your arched chest, sucking on the skin there. And each time his lips made contact with your skin, you’d squirm beneath him, gripping his shoulders as your engagement ring shined lightly in the dark. As Ashton’s hips began to move at a faster pace, you met it with your own, earning a loud groan from him.

“I love you so much,” his voice was strained, signalling how close he was. But as his hand moved between the two of you, rubbing where you were most sensitive, that’s when you lost it. Moaning his name the loudest you had yet, your body arched, stars floating behind your eyes as you fell over the edge, Ashton carrying you. Just as you began to come down, Ashton found his climax, cursing with the feel of unadulterated pleasure

Collapsing on top of you, his head buried itself into the crook of her neck, panting sounding through the room. You both were in absolute bliss. Ashton lifted his head up only to pepper you with kisses, starting from the collarbone until he reached your lips.
“I love you,” he whispered as he pulled away, moving his hand to stroke the skin of your cheek.
“And I love you,” you smiled softly, gripping the hand and pressing it to your lips. “Thank you for making this the best night of our life.”
His fingertips toyed lightly with the diamond ring resting on your finger. “Thank you for agreeing to marry me.”
“Thank you for asking.”
